Ghosty fedded 999 - Calc

Pretty much this, it's exactly what I'd do.

Xaviour is clearly just another spoiled brat of a kid who couldn't have his own way..

I only met ghosty a few times in trade chat seemed a nice fella shame :/

If you restart ghosty I'll have you in whilst you get back on your feet. Was always a great guy.

Just a couple quick things

1- Dude, love him or hate him, you HAVE to give it up to Champion for constantly getting the scoop. Even if youre on the crappy end of one of his scoops, overall, his ability to get the friggin "down and dirty truth" and present it to the masses is not only amazing, but I think its good for the game. We all know Champ is ...well... you know... but I cant lie, his scoops are the first posts I come to when I hit the forums, ya gotta give him props for having his thumb on the pulse of the game. I'll....uh...get off his sack now .... Sorry.....But , yeah ..

2.- I dont care what your position or contributions to your faction are or have been, if you decide you no longer wish to play the game with the Faction Leader, you should go join another faction, or better yet, build your own. Just seems to me that such an act is an almost certain death sentence for the faction because at the end of the day, its a kinda dirty thing to do, and most folks arent gonna stand behind and wanna play with someone that would so such a thing.

Yeah, this is a game, but man...some of us have actual friendships with real things like trust and respect. Thats not pixels dude... Ive turned lead over to my Co-lead for tree assistance, and Id do it again, without a concern, because Im lucky enough to have a true friend like Handsomepants I can trust in this game, but dude, I gotta tell ya, there are at least 3 more people in my faction Id turn it over to and not sweat it. Not having that kinda trust totally Sucks for Calc, truly, I had respect, aint gonna lie. ...But to me, this wasnt really the right way to go about it ...

Ive spoken to him out of torn and he currently plans to focus on his kids and wife. He has a new born that needs some love.

My immediate thought but I quickly dismissed it. However I have re-considered and am thinking why not? With a bit of effort we could become a half decent faction again. Wheels are in motion.....

Aww. I you guys have good folks on your team - rebuild together with a new faction. Yeah it's a horrible feeling losing what you've worked for, but the team makes the faction under the right guidance, and without y'all the now leader would have "inherited" a skeleton, while you guys build a tribute to something that meant a lot to you and can be made again as a team!

I second this. If you have a close ally, see if you can reform there before buying or creating your new home. It's been done before when factions were destroyed, and it might be the easiest route to reorganize. Of course, the other tool is the simple mailbox.

Honestly, Ched needs to overhaul the 'give leadership' system. It is so easy to accidentally to give it to the wrong player.

What happened to ghosty is my worst nightmare as a faction leader. Feel very sorry for him and I hope admin will help in this situation.

My suggestion is for the leader to set a group of players who leadership can be given to. If another player should get leadership that is not on the list, you need to first edit that list before you can give leadership to that player.

Its far better to be in a knitting circle faction.

As long as you dont beg, cheat, whine or scam anyone is welcome in my knitting circle. You dont have to do any of that boring warring stuff if you dont want, you can do anything or nothing.

It is a nightmare Blexi. Xaviour was not new to the faction and had full access to the faction bank (where there was a lot of money.) To pull a stunt like this is just unbelievable to me - the guy must have sat there waiting for the opportunity.

Just to clarify, ghosty didn't self-fed over the loss of Calc to Xaviour so much as that he already wanted to spend more time with his family and the drama of the last week pushed him over the edge.

I'm lucky in that I did get to say goodbye to him, and it tears me up a bit that he decided to fed rather than just take a break and allow himself the option to return. I'm still a bit of a noob in this game compared to so many, and had only been in Calculated for 387 days, but in that time I'd really grown to respect ghosty as a player, a leader, and a person.

Self fedding on Torn is when someone thinks they got nothing more to lose and they are lonely. He was a really nice guy. Playing stocks with you was really awesome. Gonna miss you ghosty.

It was not given to Xav, Xav managed to convince other members that he was given the all clear by Ghost to have command. Ghost left trust in certain players and was let down.

I think this was the last time for him. I certainly am near quitting.

Yeah. I'm I mistaken in thinking that most factions have a "leadership board"? Because of that same fear I very very seldom give someone leadership, but I rotate between 4 of my members for co leadership, and if I had my way, I would have them permanently set as co-leaders, or my executive board so to say.
