I'm in a 100 lap race. When I hover over the racing icon under information, it shows a timer for what time the race will end. So the time it will take me to complete a 100 lap race is predetermined before or when the race is started? The actual laps are just for show?

Yes it is determined at the start, what is fun when you see the timer at around 2 hours in what should be a 4 hour race. You know you are going to crash and there is not a thing …

Determined at start, most likely. Yes laps are for show. You can message people in your race to ask finish time if you want to know results before its over.
Yes it is determined at the start, what is fun when you see the timer at around 2 hours in what should be a 4 hour race. You know you are going to crash and there is not a thing you can do about it :)
just like how the lucky wheels are predetermined
the animation is just there to waste your time after the first few times seeing it
It's actually all determined in that extra 1 minute (the countdown in red) after the race wait timer has ended.
Yes I noticed that. Now as far as lap times, how are they determined?
Random chance, based on driver skill and vehicle performance.
Is driver skill based on how many minutes you are in a race or the distance or what? So if you have a good car for a certain track, then as your driver skill increases, your personal best laps should get lower as well?
