Taken from another thread where I short formed and expanded upon it. I propose to add a few unique properties above the PI tier. This adds a money sink to the game and something new for people to work towards that isn't a company or stock block.

All special properties would gain the additions (including +1000 happiness) of the tier 2 properties due to their rarity and extreme cost. They would retain their uniqueness due to being able to be traded/rented as well as being one-of-a-kind.

Tier 1 unique property - Large Private Island
Base cost: $2,000,000,000
Base happy: 2500
Base upkeep cost: $175,000 daily.

  • Sufficient Modification: $500,000,000
Superior Modification: $1,000,000,000 (both effects same as PI)
  • Pool (same cost and effect as PI) - Total: $500,000
  • Sauna (same cost and effect as PI)
Superior Sauna: $24,000 (effect: 5% increased crime success chance)
  • Hot Tub (same cost and effect as PI)
Large Hot Tub: $34,000 (effect: 100% increase happy regeneration, so 10 happy every 15min)
  • Open Bar: $9,000 (same cost and effect as PI)
Large Open Bar: $18,000 (effect: -10% alcohol booster time)
  • Shooting Range: $250,000 (effect: 2% damage, same as PI)
Superior Shooting Range: $500,000 (effect: 3% damage)
  • Medical Facility: $17,000,000 (effect: 1% hp regen, same as PI)
Advanced Medical Facility: $35,000,000 (effect: 2% hp regen)
  • Airstrip: $75,000,000 (same cost and effect as PI)
  • Yacht: $895,000,000 (same cost and effect as PI)
  • Vaults: Small/Medium/Large/XL (same cost and storage space as PI): highest vault cost: $215,000,000
  • Can only own one of these properties per player.

  • Can be rented out.
  • Can be sold on market.
  • Can be sold back to the system for 75% cost (am not sure what the current "sell back to system" cost is)

Total cost:
  • $3,326,038,000 (no yacht)
  • $4,221,038,000 (with yacht)

Total happy (including staff):
  • 5275 (no yacht)
  • 5775 (with yacht)

Tier 2 unique property - Huge Private Island

Na. The people with less cash have several properties to choose from already, I feel a few could actually be combined even.

I like this. Could you add an option to upgrade current PI to large or huge? Cost difference would be the difference between current upgrades on PI subtracted from new suggested prices plus the difference between base prices

Don't agree on the removal of being able to trade or rent them, as not even the unique properties are that restrictive. But otherwise R+

Does this mean all unique properties would get a base 1000 happiness increase if you're saying they get the tier 2 stuff? As otherwise your tier 2 island is higher happiness than a lot of them lol
PMV [1577993]

Sure. I thought uniques were mostly over 7000 after upgrades but I admit that I did not actually look first, lol. I feel the appeal for going for a unique over these would be to have the ability to freely trade it, as well as having a one of a kind property.

There's a big ass gap between the cost of buying a PI and buying a unique property, I'm looking to fill in that gap a bit.

The main reason that I have for making the tier 1/2 one per person and locking the T2 down so much is to prevent them from eventually flooding the market like how PIs are today. Torns overall money circulation keeps going up, there used to be a time where even normal PIs weren't so plentiful. These properties should be seen as a personal accomplishment, add a money sink to the game, and give each player something new to actually work for rather than simply just renting one.

For myself personally, it would take me at least a year/year and a half to fund the T2 property.
