Myself I dont see why anyone needs scripts to play texts games let alone ones that help them cheat but alas they are the sort of people lacking a code of ethics you know a set of principles they feel to win at any cost is more important then self respect.
Don't get too excited everyone. Those who are cheating will most likely stop using the illegal stuff and then try to find another way to gain advantages.
This new rule won't stop them.
This has been way too long coming. It is obvious that players have been manipulating stocks and nothing was done about it. My opinion, which is not much, the abusers should be severally punished. They have gained more than should be tolerated for the majority.
Cheaters will always adapt once caught. If dealing with cheaters were that effective, there wouldn't be any at all.
New rules only restrict the people who follow rules. Let's see some enforcement because that is the only thing that will prevent everyone else. Judging by the multi problem that has gone on for years where only the stupidest of the stupid ever get caught and dozens upon dozens of companies exist where every employee logs in at exactly the same time every day within minutes of each other, it's easy to see that abusive scripts will just move to the "black market" where they have always been hanging out.
So I thought I wouldn't bother posting again on GD, but here goes.
Teddy, good job on getting Ched to make the rules clear. We've already been playing EXACTLY by these rules for quite a while now, so good luck in your crusade to get us fed. You'll have to find something other than scripts, though. There's never been an auto-buy stock script. Just one to display your portfolio and expected earnings in a nicer way than the crappy current portfolio, and the stock alert API based one that you've lovingly posted publicly. My request for the 13, 28, 43, and 58 minute refreshes in the code? Oh, that's because I did the hard work in figuring out exactly when the NPC would drop shares by repeatedly refreshing the stock market MANUALLY for a month or so, every minute, trying to catch the drops. You know, like smart, hard working people do here, to figure things out? I don't reckon you'd know much about that.
Where are the rest of these so called illegal scripts you had, what was it, 20-30 of?
If a week goes by, and I'm still not in fed, will you all shut the **** up? I bet not, because none of you really give a shit about the truth. That's the real stupidity of this all. You're all going to start saying shit like... "Yeah, you changed your scripts now that Ched changed the rules", "You all cheated for WSSB money", "Relentless scripts made Ched nerf the stock market"... blah blah blah. All bullshit. But cmon Collete, CindyFury, Teddy, Boo, all you dopey morons with half baked arguments - let's see what other shit you can make up about me, Relentless, and anyone else you don't like.
Oh, we also didn't influence Ched's change on self-jailing or traveling while being attacked. ****wits like Swatsicle did, with his AUTOMATIC page opening script that would open the jail page for you while you were being attacked. Go look at his recent posts if you want to see a PROPERLY illegal script, not like the crap Teddy's been posting. Normal people just learned to set life alerts on DoctorN for 90, 80, 70, 60, etc. etc. % life, so that a slew of notifications and sounds popped out whenever you were being attacked, at which point we opened the jail page MANUALLY and self-jailed. No scripting from Relentless, but plenty from other *******s who have just used us as the scapegoats.
So that's it. Can any mods give me a self-imposed forum ban? Cause I think my eyes are getting cancer from reading all the toxic filth that spews out in this cesspool of hate.

When you where little i saw you in fed jail for bug abuse, so you are a cheater somewhere along the line. You have the cheating bug in you and you cant just stop. I highly suspect you are doing something dodgy now and its just a matter of time before you get caught.

Howsthat was removed from the Committee because he decided, months after the whole WSSB fiasco, to join Relentless. Ched probably saw "Relentless" and thought there's no way Hank should be on the Committee.
Ched finally got something right when he said that Relentless is a shady faction.
I don't understand how the auto spinner would be illegal as its just a time saving device. You cant navigate away from the casino. It still spins it just removes the need to decide how much to bet and click spin. It probably doesn't save that much time but sometimes those few extra minutes are the difference between boiling the kettle and making a cup of tea.
I would hope that once the initial changes are done, the staff would create a banned list and Suspect list that they can alter over time as new scripts develop or are assessed. It wouldn't be too hard to make a sticky at the top of the Scripts thread and edit it every week. Then people can decide whether they want to risk fed/deletion Vs removing known banned scripts.
Those who abused scripting to its fullest have already got enough money to play innocent now. With 50-100 bil play money, even a dumb guy could make more money without having to cheat. Nonetheless, still a good addition to the game. Better late than never i guess.
