Show why someone was put into Fed.

Whenever someone is put into Federal, almost all the time that it becomes a 999'd, there is this undone and never actually relevant "reason": account marked for deletion. There is a lot of drama and claims on the forums that could be ended a lot easier if we knew why someone was put in fed for ****s sake...

The person is a multi account? "account is a multi". person is a restart? "Starting from scratch". The person committed a crime on the rules? Just tell them what rule they broke.

It's not too hard to actually give a reason for something is it? This vague stuff isn't really helping us believe in the staff as we can only guess that they are doing the right thing...I mean ffs, people only knew why BambinaDuckie was fedded because other people talked with them or were around for that. If no one was around for it, then they would likely still be in fed unless a staff member told people what they did (which isn't too common...).

All we can do is guess what someone did wrong, and quite frankly I don't feel right pairing someone who restarted with someone who committed RMT or committed harassment.

Well i was going to say it was a good idea, but i always agree with bogie. Even if i just read the post and don't reply i always agree with bogie.

That, and to sum it all up I would love to know how well staff are doing on what front. We can only guess what staff are actually narrowing their sights on, never to actually know how well they are doing on certain issue in the game.

Though I don't agree with showing a reason for every account that is in Fed, I do think that staff using "999 days - Account marked for Deletion" while a transgression is under investigation is overkill and caused an unnecessary forum explosion recently. A "7 days - Under investigation" would be much better.

I have to say that I'm also in the 'No' camp.

The only time I think there should be a reason is if the player has sadly deceased, which already happens with a '777' code.

So a restart would read: 999 days "Trying to fail again"

2nd time restarting would read "Some just don't learn"

Congrats, that's one of the four. What about the guy who might have made what is illegal gains because the player who this was done upon was possibly (vagueness, am I right?) a multi and they did their action because this is what they thought they were?Seems unfair and something that could be appealed for to the staff to rectify it...or the players which might have never been back right now had the community not jumped on the #freebambinaduckie bandwagon or the #UnfedZenaAndPhil train.

As for the RMT, no it's not none of my business...but I'd like to know how well staff are doing tackling certain problems...and no one can really say for sure because those who get fedded are just "marked for deletion"...even though they never get deleted...anyways, even then there is also the issue of lumping restarts and people who decided to quit with people who committed RMT, harassment, creating multies, being a multi, exploiting the game, or other offenses.

And what if there is the possible event that someone I know (or anyone someone knows) is put in fed. Maybe a friend, maybe just someone I see from time to time. Is it fair to me or those who knew this fedded player to not know why they got fedded? I mean god damn, I'm sure there is someone who has a friend on here who has been fedded and is still completely pissed that the staff likely told them it's none of their business why someone they actually considered a friend got fedded.

Yeah, that would be better than the "RIP" they leave for the fallen...

It's currently set up to show 777 days in Fed and R.I.P. which I think is right and proper.

This must be a recent thing - previously it was a normal 999 counting down with an RIP.

Honestly, I was going to make this suggestion myself.

People are correct in saying that we don't need to know, it's not a case of needing to know, it's a case of wanting to know. Years ago you'd see people jailed with it stating their reason for their jailing.

I'm sure the staff guidelines (At least they used to and I never understood why it never happened, just the marked for deletion bollocks) give a "reason for jailing" and I was always under the impression it was used, unless account marked for deletion.

These accounts that are marked for deletion won't ever get deleted for the sake of logs, and what not. It completely makes sense to state on a players profile

No one's asking for the ins and outs of the case, just for the rule that's been broken. You could have friends on here for years, then suddenly bam they're gone, and you have no reason why. I don't see it as a hardship for the jailing secretary to put in the ban box why they're there for.

Honestly, it might make more sense to mail ched directly about this - it's literally a simple instruction from him to the staff team telling them what to write. Unless certain staff tools automatically do the "account marked for deletion", in which case he'd need to develop it a little.
