Just remember you need ALL the eggs to complete a set, to exchange for a gold egg, honors, and merits. Some individual eggs remain valuable even after the competition, example: White egg. Enjoy the competition.

The only thing that can change your score is finding eggs. So selling/buying eggs doesn't change your score.
