Is bust chance affected by how long a person has been in jail? Like it might make logical sense for someone who's been in jail for a long time and/or is about to get out anyway to be easier to bust than someone who's just landed in jail, yeah? If this isn't a thing, is it worth making a suggestion that a "heat" system should be implemented, allowing players a higher chance of success the longer a target's been in jail? Either that, or just have a high heat percentage making it so you have a higher failure rate even on bust targets who are lower level than you. Am I making sense?

If you click the buy button, the amount of money you need to spend to buy out the jailed person (which is proportional to their level * jail time) is a good indicator as to how how difficult the bust would be for you.

You generally get jailed longer for harder crimes, e.g. ~36hrs for failed PAs, so it's much more difficult to bust a failed PA person who's been jailed for, say, 3 hours already than someone who's only just been sent to jail, but for a smaller crime like getting caught stealing chocolate.

Bust chance is usually dependent on level, and the crime they were in for.

Generally speaking the lower the level, the easier it is.

In terms of time, it is easier to bust someone who has been in for a long time; instead of someone who just entered jail.

And I think it is generally harder to bust someone who has done a crime that you personally can't clear often; e.g. hacking vs a sweetshop robbery.

Okay, well serves me right for trying to bust a level 5 (with a completed law degree mind you) who was questioned for suspicious behavior. Seriously, who sits at level 5? Add 10 to that and that's more realistic. Geez -,-

Salt salt salt.....

I'm going to make like a QA;TL and head back to my pasture. TY :)

Actually bail cost is NOT a good indicator of success.

I work in law firm, so can see chance of success. You can have two players with similar bail costs, e.g., a level 60 in for 3 hours and a level 30 in for 6 hours. The higher level will have a significantly lower bust success chance compared to the lower level, even though bail cost is the same.

That's because chance of success increases the lower the level the bustee is from you. So a level 60 will always have a lower success chance than a 30.

So time really has no factor? 'Kay, gotcha. Although it is frustrating how I can successfully bust a level 23 (no one else was online; don't judge me!) and a level 21 and then get jailed for trying to bust a shoplifter level 10 when I have a law degree lol. RNG is a strange thing :/
Adrenalinas [1974447]

time is factor, same as level. Yours example is wrong it is saying I win roulette when i bet on 1 number (chance 1/37) and lost when I bet on red (chance 18/37) so it should mean that betting on 1 number have same lower chance wining that betting on red. (and if you want proff you can find job in law firm * it have this special - View success chance of potential busts

Don't forget about bust cooldowns, if you try multiple busts close together time-wise the chance of failure increases significantly
