You only need to defeat to complete, stop hospitalizing mission people as it holds it up for others.

IE: less than a day left to finish a basic attack, but every-time I get online to do the mission the guy's "hospitalized" by some jerk and will be hours before they get out.

While I understand it IS fun to keep smashing that losers face into the ground and putting him in the hospital, stop holding up others who have the same mission.

MUG THEM OR LEAVE THEM.

Hospitalize your enemies, not mission members.
Insidious [23888]

Unless it is a "REQUIREMENT" hospitalizing the mission peeps shouldn't be an option, just on the time factor for the rest of the people doing missions.
Thousands of peeps trying to do the same mission with 4 hour breaks between attempts, with a "3 day limit" (remove the time limit then ??) on completing the mission.

I've "failed" one already due to this (Not being able to attack due to the mission member in hosp every time), and now it's looking like a second failure as I'm on last day of 3 to attack ONE person.

Remove the "time limit" , have a "faster refresh" on mission members hosp'd. or remove entirely the option to "hospitalize" any missions NOT REQUIRING this.

*just managed to get the mission done.

Just pay closer attention to when they're getting out of the hospital. I refuse to believe they've been hospitalized for three days straight, without enough time in between hospitalizations for you to jump in and claim one for yourself.
DJ__ [268095]

It is annoying but something you have to deal with.

As mentioned above, just have to sit it out and be ready to attack when they are out of hosp.

But even this has its problems, as others will be doing the same thing! Yesterday I tried to get a target and was beaten to the final hit on 2 occasions. Just have to keep trying, you will get there in the end.

I like to leave my missions till last day orso before they timeout. I noticed that if I do this my targets are generally out of hosp, if I try the mission right away (with 3 days left) my targets are usually in hosp already. This may be random for me, but its what Ive noticed.
MadHatter [486416]

Why would the hitter be doing the same thing? Who's going around hospitalizing inactives, unless for a mission?

I've run into this same problem a few times. Except I actually paid attention to when they were getting out of the hospital, and managed to get my hit in. The majority of the time, it's just bad luck and bad timing, and requires a wee bit more effort.

I'm just tired of all of these suggestions that want to nerf the sandbox nature of Torn, which is what makes (*cough* made) Torn so special.
AshleyT [1432316]

Yes but there has to be limits, it's highly annoying. Thankfully I only encountered the problem once. Also, not everyone can be around all the time.

As for your question.. probably power levellers who keep a list of their targets.
MadHatter [486416]

"Yes but there has to be limits" (because it annoys me)

That mentality is what's destroying Torn. There don't need to be limits, people just need to get better at the game.
AshleyT [1432316]

Oh, but there are limits on many things, how many items you can buy from the city per day, how much E you can get over a certain period of time, drug cooldown limits, booster limits, medical limits.

Giving the players too much power to be jerks to one another kills torn way more than what you just said, what you said is also ridiculous because Torn is filled with limits. If there were no limits, they'd be no staff, and nothing but anarchy. Think about what you are saying.

It's not something out of annoyance, but the capacity that players have to completely screw each other over without even once directly coming into contact with one another.

Even real criminals have rules and limits, as it was put "We may choose the game we play, but we cannot change the rules"
MadHatter [486416]

"Oh, but there are limits on many things, blah blah blah"

Not one of those is relevant in the slightest.

"Giving the players too much power to be jerks to on another"

More whiny nonsense. Also, are you familiar with the concept of a strawman argument? It's when you deliberately misinterpret or misconstrue someone's argument and use that as a basis for your own argument. That's what you did there (with "no limits"), because you know I was referring to limits on the attacking system, and not limits as a whole.

"It's not something out of annoyance, but the capacity that players have to completely screw each other over"

Oh my god, you can't be serious right now. "Seriously screw each other over"? All I see in an inconvenience, mostly resulting from laziness.

"Even real criminals have rules and limits"

Another asinine and irrelevant assertion. I find it cute that you think you know what real criminals are like.

I'm not going to continue this. This is a ridiculous argument and you're a ridiculous person.
caddylac [1703840]

there are also faction upgrades that require to put people in hosp for huge amounts of time so that might be a reason why so many targets are hosped nowadays when doing mission
AshleyT [1432316]

Doesn't matter, still limits.

Not whiney nonsense, your arguments are more of a hardass argument, like "If you can't take it, you're a little whiny lazy bitch who should be here and should go play with Lego, and then stand on it with bare feet".

Yes it is, I'm not talking purely missions, but many other things as well, especially when you can't retaliate against the offending player yourself. Failing missions is quite critical to weaker players. Again, stop acting like it's lazyness, not everyone has high end battle stats who if they get inconvenienced in one way, they could simply take out the offender, or just move on and do something else.

Not an assertion, this is a truth. The Mafia is a prime example, but this could apply to a vast array of known (And maybe even unknown) criminal organizations, such as simple stuff like not snitching or stealing from affiliated members. This usually also includes not messing with other organizations just because you feel like it. Simple gangs often have less rules, admittedly. There are rules in the criminal world, and they are usually dictated by whoever has the most power and guns.

I like to leave if its possible, i have levelled up a lot since missions where introduced.

Some people just spam away their energy attacking any old weak person, you shouldnt do that you should combine your levelling up with missions.
SurferH2O [42164]

It's a stupid and inconsiderate thing to do on many levels. It's stupid, because as the person that does it loses EXP that they would have gained if they just, "Leave Them in the Street". Why hospitalize, you get no EXP? There is no upside, but there is downside for the person that does it and the rest of the community.

It might be fun to start bountying or just hospitalizing those that do it. Can we advertise the action for others to see?

Hospitalize MRPIMP 3 times (3 / 3) Dude got so mad at me he attacked me and lost. But I have been in his same boat, its not fun to see people like me hospitalize him for 5+ hours when all he had to do is spray mace at him.

I do usually mug them targets since I do not wish to level quick.

Very nice. When MRPIMP can move again, I guess he'll crawl over to my sister's and give her back her stuff. Oh, and you: I don't care what favor you just done for me, that was work. That was just between you and me. This ain't no fairytale and my sister is no damsel in this dress. You stay away from her too, got it?

Hospitalize MRPIMP 3 times (3 / 3)

$184,000 received
103 Mission credits received
Agent standing increased

Sometimes a mission target is in a faction that is at war, so they're going to be hospitalized by waring factions, not necessarily by other people who are targeting them for a mission.
