I heard that factions are good for teaching you the difference between your and you're. - Dolfwagos [1900418] Committee

My faction is my family. Aside from Arrow, He does basically nothing for us. Jk Arrow Ily

For the benefits
agreed, no point then
The community.
Torn is way more fun when you interact with people and make friends. A faction is a great way to do that.
Mauks discord is also another way to do that, spoken to some cool people on there recently.
And as Tar mentioned the benefits can be good.
-Being in a faction
-Not chipping in
Pick one.
There's more to it.. There are more reasons for being in a faction, than not being in one. The advent of the Trees and associated branches make activity more of a must than before. I get what he is talking about. However, if you are the leader of said faction, time to put some Stomp on and either kick them in the a.$$ or kick them to the curb.
People leech, remove them.

Its a team effort, everyone needs to help in some way to carry their weight. If they aren't contributing they should go. A faction almost needs to be run like a business to be successful, trim the fat. Just my opinion, if you are running the faction though, do what ever it is you think is right.
The question is, why be in a faction with people who do not want to chip in - pending on what the chipping in entails.
Limits for President!
VULPES!
some people just join for the benefits. but that isn't nice.
so i dont join cuz im too lazy to
People like that end up being kicked afterwards...
I understand what everyone is saying, But if your in a war and you hit ppl other than the waring faction thats a slap in the face to your team!
I wouldn't want to join a faction that would have me as a member.
I heard that factions are good for teaching you the difference between your and you're.
I'm sorry you disliked my post, I'll try harder next time.
Hmmm
If your "Chip in" is zero or very minimal The leader can kick you anytime they want.
Is it a must to Chip in if you are joining a faction?
@Hangman What do you mean by "Chip In"? Money, Active in war/ chat or ...
Why do people join a faction: for the benefits they get out of it.
Why do people run a faction: for the benefits they get out of it.
If the two don't match, you have a problem, if they do match, all is fine. But there is absolutely no natural law stating that one MUST chip in when in a faction. It's up to the leader to decide what he demands of members, and up to the member to decide what he's willing to give up in order to be part of the faction.
By the way, what does "Chip in" mean? There are so many ways to help a faction. Donate, is that the only chip in you know? What about just doing attacks? Or being available for OC's? Or just being amazingly good company?
Without salt chips are simply not satisfying
