That's the old and inefficient martingale system. You will most likely win small amount of money unless you will hit a bad streak and lose all your money. Google it.

My friend made 1m into 1b doing something similar to this. Then she lost it all in a badstreak. Doing this will eventually catch you.

This would end in failure, it could work for a while but eventually, you will hit a losing streak and won't be able to afford to triple your last bet. If you hit a bad streak of 10 games, then your next bet would need to be almost $6b to cover your losses. If you fail 15 games in a row your next bet is almost $1.5T :/

The key with those systems is to always walk away after a certain amount is lost, to ensure that you are still ahead. By that I mean is Gambling profit - Gambling losses >0 . There is actually a way to do that, making the trigger occur but you MUST follow strict rules for it to happen. In practice though, knowing there is a possibility of loosing your money on a bad streak means you should always start low enough that the odds are greatly favoring you.

I fully support this! Savvy go-getters like yourself are the backbone of this city's economy.

On a completely unrelated note, I will give you great prices next month when you're selling all your shit to pay Duke back.

The idea of tripling is so you come out at profit, your tripling the bet amount so you cover your losses. Still a bad plan though

This doesn't work with this system, if you walk away before a certain point, the exponential nature of the system will mean that you will, in all likelihood, lose everything you had possibly gained up to that point and much more. The gains are so small and the losses you sit on are exponentially large, so this does not work.

The odds on black jack can be pushed to 50% with proper strategy. Course we don't know exactly how much more the odds favor the house in torn. Winning 50% of the time at a constant bet is a wash. But say you win 1 million a day for 100 days. It's going to take you 100 million in losses to come out the same as if you've never bet. And to lose that much in a single session means you doubled your bet or qaudruple many times. At that point you could realize you're on a losing streak and walk away before it hits 100m in losses and recoup those losses over the next 100 days.

Uhhhhhmm....

Let me explain this a little: a 50% win chance means you always have the same chance of winning or losing, so both(!) chances are very high, ergo you could lose 10 times in a row with the same probability as winning 5 times and losing 5 times, as the number of times you win or lose doesn't affect if you're going to win or lose next time.

Tripling the pot would be the next problem with your plan. It means that after 10 losses you would need around 6b to get your money back. If you lost again 18b. Also tripling the pot is absolutely not necessary here. Now if you would have talked about raising the bet by 120% every time you lose, and lowering it by 20-40% whenever you win I might have said this may work without one day punching you in the face, but your plan would only suffice in draining you off money sooner or later. I'm not saying this won't work 10 times, maybe 100 times, but one day you will hit a losing streak.

The "best" way of making money actually is not to gamble. It will not be as fast, but you will never lose a dime.
