That's a really cool small frog
It's going to be raining for most of the week and thought i'd at least try taking some pictures before being locked away, that frog one looked like one of the better 350 pictures I took (is that normal to take so many?) I also added 50 or so "decent" ones to that link, i'm rather happy i decided to try this :)
Yes, it is normal that you took so many and yes it is normal not to like the majority of them to begin with.
Going for a walk in a cool place taking photos of everything you see is a great starting point. More photos = more experience to learn from.
Good start! (I really like the drunk trees.)

Tried a little photo editing, a month into this and super happy that I bought the camera >.>

Rather surprised to see I got this in focus mid-flight, was rather happy ^^

Love this mate. Cropping is perfect.
Impressive work removing the power lines, would never had guessed if I hadn't seen that.
I do like those chairs in the original though.
I never show people original photos, most I do in that regard is snap a shot with my phone to just show what I'm up to.
hmm if you have the time could i give you the original and see how you'd have edited it?
****ed my computer up (puppy pissed on it) so it's in for repair but yeah man, for sure. I'll send you a message in a few days when it's been repaired (or I've bought a new one).
Do you shoot in raw?
raw format? I believe so (The fact i have to say believe says a lot haha) here

but with 822 images being over 6GB i have to assume so
also shitty luck with the laptop, hope it wasn't too expensive to fix
edit: someone told me this could also mean not using filters - i don't use filters :) (well some use a polarizing filter but 90% unfiltered)
Nah, raw format. I've never heard no filters being called raw. People are funny about photography, so many terms for things that don't need terms. Haha. Filters are great when they're used right. Nothing to be afraid of or snooty about.
If you're looking to edit your photos in any way, shooting in raw format is best, as I'm sure you know. If you start straight from jpeg you quickly lose quality and run out of things you can do.
I've noticed recently some people I talk to take pride in the fact that their photos are "untouched" or whatever and it's something that really grates on me now. Haha.
hmm I think my photos are okay but i believe post edits really do help, maybe once i'm a bit happier with my photos i'll avoid it but for now i sorta go wild and maybe learn a thing or two with edited ^^
We should start a thread where people can add images they have taken
What camera did you end up buying? I'm a filmer/photographer by trade and used to only swear by canon
I rarely take photos, but when I do I use little to no editing, usually just cropping them a little.

Ended up going with the Canon 800D instead of the 80D (for price mainly) - That being said I'm now using the 70-200mm L USM si ii by default (or whatever order it goes in) - now i've learned that lens > body and the prices reflect that greatly haha
