That's faction life. If you are smaller, someone bigger will whack you. If you're level 50, you'll get hit by level 60's, and they'll have bigger fish that eat them in turn.
Being hospitalised is one of the risks. Either you accept that it's worth the rewards, or it's not. No point whining about it.
The mechanics of chaining demand fillers for efficiency, as many people have stated. This might change with new warring but until then its what everybody in a faction deals with.
By saying its cowardly you:
A - demonstrate that you don't understand how faction wars work. B - piss people off who will now go out of their way to make sure you're a filler.
May I first recommend going to the Tutorials and Guides section and read up of how the game works. HERE is a good link and I would reference you to the "For Newbies" section since judging by your comments that is likely where you belong.
You chose to start a faction on your own before you are level 15 (which only takes a few days at most to get to). Level 15 allows you to fly and avoid being hit. There are also medical items you can use to get out of hospital and conduct activities like train, crimes, etc. I'm not sure what else you are doing at level 11 tbh.
It's hard to feel sorry for you when you brought it upon yourself and didn't do the research to understand how to start off the game strong. There are plenty of people there to help noobs like yourself out.
Where in this thread do I imply that I am hoping to achieve anything?
How chaining works, or the harsh conditions of Torn, has got nothing to do with the fact that a faction leader, running a 250 times more "respected" faction with 90 members who are all more powerful than your toughest guy, is the true definition of coward when he/she declares war on brand new factions and keeps level 3-5 players, who are tying to get invested in Torn, in the hospital for an entire week or two.
Oh no! Looks like fresh meat boys! Oh no, piss people off? Oh no!! We are still going to be in the hospital 24/7, as we already are? Oh no, the terror... *gasp*
Game mechanics does not make e.g. a full military gear player in DayZ less of a coward when he shoots unarmed bambies on the coast. The game mechanics allow this, it's still cowardice.
A coward is a coward. Deal with it(insert cool gif of a whatever doing whatever).
No one is afraid of anything. The guys attacking you are just using you as a tool in their other fights (with people their own size). It's just a badly designed part of the game. No one is being a coward here, just tactical.
Would I be a coward if I beat up a child in real life? Probably yeah. Would I be such a coward if I picked up said child and used it as a club to fend off a gang of hardened criminals? I don't know, you tell me.
It's not cowardice, it's being smart. Attacks cost 25 energy regardless of who you attack. The amount of respect a respect earned based off target level isn't significant. Until chaining mechanics alter to the point can justify loosing say 5 attacks out of a prepared 30, it is going to happen. Loosing 5 attacks makes that person do 25 hits instead of 30, a huge difference.
Say 100 members prepared the same amount of hits and at the same time. It is 3,000 attacks vs 2,500 hits. A whopping 500 hits difference or (just from bonus hits) for 1,300 respect. Each 100 hit chains are worth at least 260 in bonus hits, so the 3k hits is worth ~ 7.8k respect vs the 2.5k hits is worth 6.5 k respect.
A game of crime does not need to be played with compliance to good morality, norms and virtues.
If cowardice is a crime to you, then you may learn to acknowledge and appreciate how skilled these veteran players are in playing this game as effective criminals.
Most of us are aware that we are playing a crime game. Players can commit any offenses (with strict compliance to game community guidelines, legal terms and conditions). There are no specific instructions given by moderators to define the objectives of the game. If a group of people want to bully you, your only few options either include strengthening or diplomacy.
I feel I am the cowardly faction leader that is being referenced in this thread. I will share that we have a NooB program where we accept 20 members under the level of 1.5 Mil total stats and we train them. We need factions such as yours so these members can contribute during war. If you prefer to be the aggressor I can look to see if we have any room in our training program.
