n00b Appreciation week!

I didn't notice the challenge to write in Iambic pentameter so here is my advice rewritten. (I am including my original comment so you can see the advice didn't change)

JustJanet's Twofold Advice

Two things of import I think you should know

Educate yourself and assume no foe

Words spoken in text have no tense for clues

Assume no offense; the words might confuse

What was read as mean might be read as nice

If given a diff'rent level of spice

Do not take offense with out clarity

What's meant as kind might come off as angry

Heaven forbid if pride gets in the way

Before you know it your tongue might just flay

An innocent sort who's just being kind

Is now the worst enemy you could find

So assume the best and not just the worst

Clarify intent before acting first

My other advice of equal import

Take classes in school you scholarly sort

The personal perks will simply astound

They can help so much! Fortune will abound

It might seem that it takes way to much time

This game's about time, if you want to climb

To reach the high goals you must stay in school

Listen to me and do not be a fool!

Text based games require a lot of written communication. Before taking offense at what someone says, I suggest you read what was said again and see if there is any tone in which it might not be meant to be offensive. There is no inflection in the written word, so your attitude is putting the inflection down. The person writing might not mean offense at all... so assume no offense was meant. If they meant offense, they will let you know shortly. It might make your experience more peaceful.

my other advice is probably more useful... ALWAYS BE IN AN EDUCATION COURSE!! The benefits of getting through education as quickly as possible is huge!! so many perks and bonuses. just do it!
