Let me get this straight - you got sucked in by a level holder and now you're expecting level holders to be limited in lieu of you checking your target before attacking.

Seriously?

As an aside level holders already pay a steep price for the trickle of free defends they get, as life is as important as your battle stats nowadays.

Extreme level holding (eg. holding at level 1 or 15) will inevitably result in a player not being able to attack other players around their battle stats range effectively (or at all) - indeed they will be usually be limited to hitting targets with significantly lower battle stats because they just can't soak up damage from the defender.

Errr, I read somewhere earlier someone saying that they read the worst suggestion ever... I think this can top that as a terrible suggestion/question.

Instead of complaining about level holders, you should worry about yourself.

You're 141 days old, level 10. That's not good.

I don't know your stats, but if you're spent much time training in that 141 days, you can easily level up to level 15. If you haven't trained, then you'll need to train some before you can level up.

Level holders make themselves look like easy targets, and in order to do it, they make themselves easier to beat than they would be otherwise. That level 1 guy could level up, if he wanted, but while he's holding, he can't travel. That's a pretty big limitation. He's not a threat to anyone except people like you who think "Oh, I'm going to go beat up on this level 1 guy over here". If he fought someone with stats similar to his own, he would lose, because he has very low life. (Every time you level up, you get more life.) They only have to hit him once to win, and he'll have to hit them several times.

Most people that level hold do it at level 15 or slightly higher. That way they can travel, and they have higher life than at level 1. I don't think it's a good plan, but it's up to them, and it's sure not hurting me.

Quit worrying about them, and focus on what you can do to make *you* better.

No.

They're limited by hp and being unable to rehab, more than enough - making a suggestion after being subject to one is rather pointless, come back to this a week from now and I hope you see that.

It cracks me up that people are ragging on the OP for complaining. I don't think he did.. he asked a legit question and although he deserves and answer he doesn't deserve to be ragged on.
the answer is obvious and it doesn't take much to just think it through. the game is currently set to make everyone eventually level hold. the game is not set to hold back stats. the more you train the better your stats will get.

While level holders can have massive stats, they cannot have massive life. If you consider life a 5th stat then you can consider level holders limited in one stat.

"Should gym stats be limited until they decide to level up?"

Absolutely not. Level holding is a valid strategy, and there should not be any restrictions placed on how players decide to train and level their character. As several other people have said, level holders are already sacrificing the Life boosts gained from leveling up. And, as several people have also said, it's pretty easy to spot level holders. You just need to pay more attention to their stats, and if something seems fishy, move on and pick a different target.

I recommend getting the Torn Stats user script, as it allows you to display various player stats (of your choice) on the player's main profile page (without having to go to their stats page). I have mine set up to show: defends won, defends lost, defends stalemated, xanax taken, ecstasy taken, refills used, etc. With all of that information immediately accessible from their profile page, it's easy for me to determine whether or not I'll be able to take them on.

no they already take a health limit it also makes it more fun in the game or everyone would be pounding on level 10's and 20's all the time knowing they would win with level holders playing the game with decent stats it makes it more interesting and more of a challenge or atleast thats what i find hope the insight to how i think helps =)

"So i know people would hold there level to lvl 1 and be madly OP"

Define overpowered lol

They are severely limited in training in terms of drugs, rehab, travel income, etc. It's not hard to out stat them in with enough time.

Step 1. Be xzombielegendxx

Step 2. Lose to a level holder

Step 3. Make a post asking if he's a hacker

Step 4. Be insulted when called "new" when played less than 200 days.

Step 5. Makes another thread suggesting to limit level holders because I failed to look at their personal stats and age.

Step 6. Profit??

I say we give OP some bounties, give him a nice welcoming meet and greet to meet some of Torns citizens.
