I have played games where there are far less staff, nearly as many active players yet the staff of those games seem able to limit multis.

To say its a complex problem is horseshit! To claim to have a plethora of tools to catch multis yet this happens is horseshit.

As someone silly enough to donate to this game i feel robbed. Given others are simply allowed to cheat.

The problem is if they get rid of all the multies and their main accounts there will only be like 200 of us left playing

I would assume he's worried about the gameplay of others (namely your time played and Apollo's time played).... because Apollo originally commented on HIS gameplay.

That would just be my guess. ;)

BUT if you're just repeating what Apollo originally said in a slightly different manner - i.e. Why is someone with such little activity commenting on multis when said person obviously doesn't even play enough to possibly be bothered by said multis - that makes a bit more sense...

but also essentially just copying what Apollo said.

So... Still rather lame, IMO.

;)

You're special.

Duck is commenting on a non-issue for him, he's so inactive and plays so little that the idea of him complaining about something which impacts active players is idiotic. My comment was about the real reply that apollo made and how duck's response was a personal attack on how active he was as if it's a negative. He obviously did the same and exclaimed it as me being salty. I expressed that for me to be salty surely the first thing I'd have commented on is how shit of a player he is and not how childish and idiotic a personal attack in response to real criticism is.

Really? It's that easy to make a multi in Torn?

I've been using VPN's, IP spoofers, TOR, dedicated wi-fi devices, and entire falsified social networking profiles for my multi's.... in other games of course. I'd never cheat in Torn.

Aw, ur special 2, m8. ty

Maybe you should have expressed your thoughts a little more clearly, because that is most definitely not how your comment read to me - and I would have to assume - to others.

Yes, but if you want people to understand what you're saying - you might want to make a point to not sound like you're saying something completely different.

Also...

u smell like the lowest common denominator.
APOLLO [862724]

Not really sure what you were saying in a previous post that quoted me.

Are you calling me lame?

On another tack, there seems to be a pattern forming for the duck guy where if he feels threatened in some way he likes to attack by quoting time played. Not what I consider to be an attack of consequence. However, in a previous thread in faction discusssion he attempted to invalidate another player by quoting their time played.

Certainly a dangerous character not to be taken lightly. Bless his little shoes

Multi players have been an issue since day 1 Torn is how old now? Maybe use your new found activity to play the game in a positive way Op...

I can add to this. I sold my faction fifth column to a player. After I left a plethora of level 15 players joined. Everyone of them lives in a PI and all are around 130-171 days old. The last activity for all of them is 4 hours ago. I think that is suspicious.

Everyone of them is all on the wall.

Many of them are the same age, 171 days old.

I was always convinced, for some reason, that having multiple accounts on Torn was something that would get you banned almost immediatly. The more I am here, since I came back, the more I realize it's quiet the opposite.

In every other game I've played, if there were like 5+ accounts doing the same actions, log in times and pretty much looked identical, they would be banned for multi. Why? Because that is PROOF (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evidence) that those are multis.

There is literally nothing else they could be other than multiple accounts played by the same person.

I have no idea what type of degree of proof admins need to take actions, considering people get banned left and right with FAR less bullshit required to do so. You need the owner of those accounts to send you a written statement? ..

I want to also add that in EVERY other game, the "I have 7 brothers who play the game with me" argument is just so weak that people don't even try to use it. The fact that it can hold here is pretty much a big "Go ahead and make multis, bro!" sign right on the homepage.
