We dont worship karma we worship bogie and if make our karma numbers equal to his we will gain the power of the all might bogie

That's the thing though - if they posted crap they wouldn't get karma therefore they wouldn't be able to pay to post more than like once a week (or some other timeframe) when people were given their karma "allowance" or something.... although not sure how the using karma to rate would work - or if it would work at all - since karma would have to be constantly added... maybe it would cost 1 to rate and the person being rated would be given 2? But then people who didn't post wouldn't be able to really rate more than 25 times in a week... which might not be that bad of a thing either.

I don't know, just a thought.

There are karma gyms if you get such and such amount of karma. There's one at 7.5 thousand and the other at 15 thousand. Of course there could be more, we're just waiting for a great karma creature to reach those heights.

I don't think staff should have to babysit everyones karma scoring. Thats not what they should be doing with their time. They apparently already have too much on their plate as it is or we wouldnt have seen the actual citizens picking up the slack and sniffing out the large amounts of multis recently.

The fix has already been done.

Ched didn't want to lose the last lesser spotted Marlon known to man so he changed things to allow his faction to spam upvote his posts without him losing any karma to down votes - all to avoid the unfortunate situation where the last Marlon might feels inclined to make out like a lemming and walk off a cliff, thus rendering his species extinct.

I suggest if too many down votes are detected by the system within a 7 day period the shit poster gets a polite Notification/Caution.

If this continues for 2 or 3 weeks, a 1 week ban on creating threads is enforced.

If 3 temp bans are detected within a 3 month period - Thread creation privileges are revoked.

This is a good point, until you get someone like me who loses over 100 karma to a single person not liking me personally, having nothing to do with the posts themselves.

Anything that can be mis-used, will be mis-used, but they had no system for controlling the mis-use.
