I didn't up vote or down vote anyone so please don't give me the karma crap I don't care. I distantly remember reading how only females were on PP. You may not how known the full extent of doing it but you obviously exploited a loop hole. One that will be corrected after the fact after half the HOF is one area.
Seems to be fair game play to.
In the end all this comes down to is you being butt hurt. Luckily we are girls and can change the size of what is hurting it :)
Whether or not it is "unfair" that a group of players planned to "exploit" a gender bias, the fact remains that most of Torn's "elite" players were not in on the "conspiracy" and most did not change their genders. It is not possible for male players to join PP now that the teams are open. Membership in PP from now forward is limited to pre-existing female players. Ultimately it will probably even out or even fall behind in membership because most players weren't even aware Elimination was about to begin and didn't gender swap before.
anyone who has been here for a while will find this entire thread very similar to every other thread that "explained" how things worked out for those connected to the inner circle. maybe they are better players, maybe not. however when I see someone go to great lengths to "explain" while claiming to not care, just like in every other thread done on these "incidents", I seriously doubt the sincerity of that claim.
Torn has never been about equal competition and never will be. "not my fault you didn't take advantage" or similar comments should be expected at this point. its so routine now its as predictable as night and day.
at the end of the day though these competitions are supposed to be about having fun. if you cant do that while understanding that your chances of actually winning an event against the ever tilting shenanigans of the torn elite are extremely slim then the comps aren't really for you anyways. they have the stats, the money, the connections, the resources, and the experience to outplay most even without exploits.
Too bad, they also do not have the courage or the guts to play the game without exploits, the rest is irrelevant to the facts on this, and is just another excuse for cheating, and covering up for the monopolies in this game, and their actual actions which seem to ruin every competition by antics.
The "Players Committee" when origainally formed was to look out for the rights of all players in the game including, players, staff and owners, not to be the "snitch informer" of every change to the game so all the monopolies, themselves and their friends can continue to exploit and frontrun all these changes. I cannot think of a single competition in 8 years that this has not happened in, and it needs to change immediately. Does this exploit give PinkPower enough to win against all teams in the competition, this was obviously the intent of their exploit ( an exploit to predetermine their team en masse to gain an overwhelming competitive advantage against all otherr teams in the game with ALL high stat team members and very few other random players), I guess we will see unless Ched and team actually shuts them down ahead of the compeition or sanctions afterwards (no merits, no honors, all stripped), stripped of Committee Positions, no further access to upcoming competitions, and updates information.
Just for a moment, lets take this in, let say 1000 members of JFAx et al and their Allies (which is mostly who did this with the help of the Op) decided to have one faction with 1000 players and they wanted to lock out all low stat players by filling their ranks with JUST the 1000 players in JFAx et al monopoly, would that be fair to the players in the game, this is exactly what they have done.
Further proof, sawa thread posted in GD, was kind of strange, PP was looking for low stat players, why would they do this, now the answer is crystal clear, they wanted to cover up the fact that PP was ALL high stat players but, by adding some low stat players to make it seem they were legit using the random team chooser, which they bypassed using the (sex change M-F) exploit here.
Time to change, and make this gave more competitive and fun, nows your chance Ched to make the game better for all. Do you really think you can actually trust these committee members after this, time to clean the slate and start over, as they are responsibvle for it and much mouch more. Its too bad they were able to use others as the fall guys for their own exploits (eg Hank, Nash and others).
This is over, you are to blame and need to face the consequences for your actions, and others for your inactions and complicity in this and much more. Frontrunning and exploits are wrong, they are not fun, and they hurt the core of the game, the trust of the players.

And one last thing, this exploit, changing your sex to female as an exploit is very derogatory to all the women in the game, especially those that joined PP Pink Power, just like last year, they were a fun and competitive group, with some strong, smart leaders, and you do nothing but seek to undermine this, shame on you, and everyone else that is using this exploit for gain, and your obvious disrespect for women- you need to change back immediatley. as you obviously are not a woman and neither are the other exploiters and is simply a disgrace.)

Nice try, (So how many?) ,but how do you know how many players are in each team now (this does not show yet), and from what factions they are from and magically seem to have access to all other team forums, I take it back, your exploits should earn you a lifetime ban from the game, I am done with all your antics and disrespect, you dishonour us all, enough said.

As a female who has always been a female, I'm not entirely sure that you're qualified to speak on my behalf. In fact, unless you are secretly female (please tell me that isn't so) I beg you not to speak for my gender. It just makes me feel all icky inside....and you have no damn clue. Let those gals who feel that way speak up, we don't need your kind saying jack about it.
Everyone who was around last year should have known that Pink Power was a female only group. They also knew that Elimination was coming up. Who the **** cares if some people changed their gender to female, to try and get PP to pop for them. Kudos to them, they used a game mechanic. Whether they are committee, staff or Joe Blow off the street, that isn't an exploit, it's just part of the game sweetheart ;)

second: i really agree. i don't know what all the commotion is about - it's not like fake females are something new in Torn or on the Internet in general. Changing gender is a game mechanic, i don't see how what they did is anything but a tactical move. Sometimes it feels like it's just about pointing fingers for some people..

We do have an issue at hand here and this years signup procedure is everything but flawless.
The whole concept of Elimination is based upon a random team choice to avoid larger parts of one faction joining the same team. This is Elimination. Not factionwarring 2.0. Intentionally cheating the odds to get into one specific team on such a large scale is disrupting the balance in such an extreme way that this years competion is unfortunately tarnished before it even started.
Perhaps next year it should be possible to join one team with a complete faction as that is obviously what these people want. If you truly believe that's the idea behind Elimination then everything is fine. If you think Elimination has a different concept then those users have intentionally been undermining the whole concept of Elimination for selfish motives without taking into consideration what's best for Torn and this competition. It's not about fake females it's about not accepting the basics of this competition and abusing a non-competition mechanic for that.

Next year this will be changed and this blatant get around will be closed. They'll say "see, if it wasn't for us, this blatant get around could have been exploited! We actually helped!"
Genuinely, they don't have an easy road and if they win, it will be because they put a shit tonne of effort in and they'll get a load of stick for it in any case because of how they got into the same group is shady. If they lose, apparently, intentions don't matter.
I know I said I wouldn't get sucked in again, so I won't. Yesterday I lost my cool. It genuinely got under my skin. I still don't think it's right and the intentions weren't these inventions they've been applying in hind-sight but nothing is going to come from it. In the cold light of day it's easier just to lose sight of it. What's done is done, let's get on with the competition and have some fun.
The competition hasn't started yet and if one thing's certain, it's that there's going to be a big old ****ing fight. :P
I actually doubt that there is even one faction within the top 10 or top 20 where the members don't ask each other which team they are joining in faction chat or even forums. believing that they don't reeks of hypocrisy.
Ched lives in a dreamworld sometimes. Bringing Elimination to the standard he wants it at would require everyone getting a 100% random team, thus not making it a choice for the players. If he thinks he can surveil factions enough to stop this, fine, but IRC? c'mon. of course there will be agendas and monopolies. And i'm sure there are other players joining a team together - but they didn't make it that obvious in the first place, so there is no fingerpointing.
No advantage has been gained by Pink Power ahead of other teams. Having a team closed to males in Torn has disadvantaged that team.
On this occasion, unless PP fills to the maximum which is still very unlikely, PP will be one of the disadvantaged teams again but less so than last year.
Well I guess donator packs are an unfair advantage. What about the players who can't afford a donator pack? They get less benefits. But, to be fair, life is unfair. I mean, look at the forums. Everyone has to sift through your garbage that you leave everywhere and as a result, people end up wasting their time reading it. Doesn't sound fair to them, but everyone has to deal with it.
