Personally I don't care who is and isn't on the committee anymore, it's no coincidence that the insider information card is played so often as the committee members don't do themselves any favours, we've had committee members NW shoot up at the same time as major stocks changes happen, we've had the MK fedding and now we have the PP elimination scandal, there are more examples but I can't be bothered to think of them right now.
my take on the latest PP drama, I personally didn't take any notice last year of the gender only teams, was it published when the competition was starting as I didn't have a clue until it popped up on the side bar, was it common knowledge that the comp was happening this year and at what time, if not there is certainly an issue there, if it was then all you can say is fair play on a good game plan
ive always thought more clarity is needed on the committee and by that I mean publish the forum logs like they used to AFTER a role out is made so people can see and understand how it all works
I don't understand why everyone seems to believe that the events leading to the creation of this year's Pink Power roster were the result of staff/committee abuse. I came up with the idea and I'm neither a staff member or committee member, I then proposed the idea to my faction MnC who got on board with the plan. Once again I'd like to stipulate that neither am I a staff or committee member and neither is anyone in my Faction. At that point I then proposed the idea to other Factions... but the fact is this was a simple idea, it simply needed someone to orchestrate it. We're in 2017, changing your gender is no longer considered a crime and is far from abuse, but either way the idea wasn't the result of staff or committee abuse, because not only were no committee or staff involved in carrying out the plan, but also I used knowledge to carry out my plan that was available to the entire 300,000 player user base, not just a select few individuals.
So users must display a constant or declining networth to be free from your suspicions? Lol.
Playing a game to a level where you're considered the right person for such a committee would also imply you're dedicating enough time to learn and grow as a player, hence earning more money etc. Correlation != Causation.
I'm also earning more money than I was two years ago - again, as you'd expect of someone playing for so long.
EVERY cheater should be dealt with accordingly. He is not currently on the committee. It took me long enough to go through all of the current.
But, please, keep poking and prodding, and disregard my post because some players not currently on the committee are left out.
It's a shame the networth graph only goes back to halfway through 2015. It would be so much more telling of the longer term members - especially with staff!
I joined committee 5 months ago... In March... My profile represents pretty steady growth for someone with 2 TV companies... (ive had my main one for almost a year and a half) as well as active stock investing.
The only graph you posted that even remotely looks suspicious is Mug's, only because of the tremendous growth shown... But a lot of players outside of committee have seen that kind of growth. The rest of those graphs look perfectly normal for active ambitious investing players.

Basic logic Dek... Last year was the first year of elimination. Some people noticed that most female players got an invite to pink power. Fast Forward to this year... Nova in MNC (not in committee nor anyone in mnc in committee) came up with an idea to have people switch to female to get into Pink Power... I happened to chose it because well, I'm always a girl (last I checked anyways) and some friends joined. It wasnt until after I selected PP that I started hearing about people crying about it and this huge conspiracy thing.
If its going to be fixed next year, thats because Ched has seen the complaints and possible exploitation of it from this year..... But just because a few people in JFA and MNC tried it this year doesnt mean all of committee is guilty of cheating.
So none of those charts look suspicious in any way and none should be investigated?
Shouldn't staff and committee members be routinely investigated and/or looked at, as a precaution?

Illusionist. Around 25b stagnant. How long has he been playing? How long has his networth stayed stagnant? When did he become privvy to inside information? About the time his graph spikes like crazy????Not suspicious????
The committee has and will always be corrupt. There is always a constant stream being leaked about upcoming new features.
Friends pass on to friends info and screenshots and it just spreads. I'm sure most active players have seen leaks that have come direct from the committee but of course nobody will admit to it. Friends don't want to get friends in trouble, or get in trouble themselves for having advanced information. Then of course as it spreads, nobody knows the exact source to be able to report them. So without proof, the leaks just continue and nobody reports it and the leakers continue to tell their close friends.
There are even links to google docs that get passed around with insider information on them direct from the pages of either the committee or staff. But nothing is ever shared within Torn so nobody gets in trouble. The committee keeps helping their friends and factions out. And so it spreads.
I'm not saying everybody in the committee is corrupt but there are always a few that have loose lips. Without hard evidence nothing will be done and Ched himself is happy with the committee.
For anybody out there who hasn't ever seen leaked information. Just ask about, keep active, get contact details outside of Torn. You'll soon be a fully privileged member of the insider info club. Just don't ever say anything in Torn and all can enjoy the benefits and secretly lol at certain committee members that are vocal about how innocent they are.
Yep, I remember a google document that listed and broke down the new faction specials trees, this was long before any info came out to us general public, I sent the link to clansy and was completely ignored
