Hate or Love PP, read this.

Please don't turn this into a thread about PP or the competition. What we have seen today is far bigger than that.

What happens next time Ched feels like pulling out the god card on a game you play everyday. Invest your time and money on. A game you play fairly by his rules that are set in stone. What happens when he decides you are the one affected next by something you have no say in?

Today we witnessed the owner of a game changing the rules/play right under out noses. Whether you agree with PPs tactics or not, you have to see that his solution was not only immature but it was outside of his own rules and guidelines. There is 0 chance to overcome what he put into play. That by anyone's definition is a smack to all of our faces.

You may agree with what he did today (only a small percentage seem to. Even those not in PP realize this is madness to take this road) but what about when he pulls such a move on you?

I served on Ched's staff for more than a decade. It became clear to me over time that his idea of fair and holding himself to the same standards he treats us with is not going to happen. This was scripting abuse; this was changing a game in the middle of that game. My 4 year old can tell you that's not right.



You looked very bad today Ched. I say that with no ill-will or anger. I say that with a genuine sadness that you let the game down today. You appeared to be a dictator today. I lost so much respect for you today. All of you should have. What's in store for you all tomorrow? Even the ones that are ok with this.



Again, please focus on those points. Not the PP 'scandal'. How do you feel that scripting and game changing can happen to you tomorrow? Feel good about that?

He's reactive rather than proactive, this much is clear.

My question is how much of a fight did the committee put into halting the competition after they found out mechanics in place for fair play were being dodged.

Ched is clueless, he doesn't play torn, the committee do.

Chedburn had time to redo the teams 5 days before elimination started and instead he chose a route to waste billions of players dollars, real life money, and time.

This doesn't just affect PP. PP took out teams before he did this, who also wasted E and money on a competition that could have still been in and fighting (on new teams) if Ched didn't create a solution in the middle of battle.

cheaters should be punished IMO, the way ched dealt with was perfect, like a referee who made a bad call, everyone is talking about it, all press is good press and tbh this is probably the funniest comebacks ive seen in a while, cheat the cheaters, i see the funny side of it.

I just want to add two things to the discussion;

You knew the risks when you used a game breaking tactic. You had to know that outside intervention was a posibility once you abused a way to remove or reduce the randomness of the competition, it's keystone.

Besides, as a person that had served on Ched's staff didn't you have the moral responsibility to warn the staff of this exploit, and not falling in the temptation of abusing it?



That's just my two cents on this whole ordeal.

We put in time and effort sitting on teams to eliminate them, having the most attacks by a mile and ched just waves his magic wand breaking basically every rule of his game to make it unplayable for some of his most active players, absolute piss take.

I changed to male for probably 8 hours this month and have been female for over a year. Your coding sucks ass

using morphines? so is he getting 145k hp per morphine? really? and attacking from the hospital?

you should have fixed your shit before elim started while you had your chance

Not taking part in this waste of e comp this year, was heavily flawed last year

personally I don't like the idea of an npc taking part in a player competition, leaves a dangerous precedent

that being said, The gender swappers deserve all they get, I was hoping Ched would intervene somehow, when he first acknowledged the problem I expected that he may kick all that gender swapped from the competition, when he failed to do that I was hopeful that he would allow them to burn a load of e and then kick the gender swap players late in the competition to teach them a lesson so I suppose he's decided that they must go a different route

the players I feel sorry for in this are the actual females in PP who weren't away of involved in the whole palava



edit: just read cheds post, if duke is only targeting the players who gender swapped then I take my original comment on the NPC back and say way to go Ched, great move, just a shame you didn't start this before other teams were eliminated, they should've had a fair run at the competition as they were playing within the games mechanics

Guys, please stick to the topic. Are you ok with him using a god card to rectify a situation? When it affects you, are you ok with that?

It's clear at this point that they didn't put up a fight, and they have been wilfully rude and pathetic about it since.

On topic: Ched has proven time and time again that he will do whatever he wants to make the game 'fair', for many people this is the first time to be on the wrong side of it. So in that sense, this doesn't surprise me.

Scripting abuse is wrong indeed, but Ched owns the game so we can't really call it abuse in this instance. Yes, he has set a dangerous precedent, but at the end of the day, he can do whatever he wants. Ched is a dictator. How as a staff member you didn't realise that Ched does whatever he wants is totally beyond me - ask our former glorious admin Marc.

Do I agree with the approach? No. I would have preferred a total reset, and I'm betting the majority of PP would have as well at this point. Do I care? No, not really. Maybe I will if it's against me one day, maybe I won't.

How can you say its acceptable? When people just tried to change the gender for fun and nobody knew 100% that it would work.

It wouldn't have been so bad had you not already encouraged all teams to focus on PP, with all teams focusing on the 796 real players who aren't anywhere as good at the 204 you basically removed any chance (as the fact PP have lost 3,000 score in under 2 hours) - could you just remove us instead?
