I think we should be able to claim companies that the director has been inactive more than 700days or account in federal jail this will stop all these random one-star companies just sitting there and building up drop a +1 if u think we should drop a -1 if we shouldn't in the poll

Why? You have no entitlement to these. Just let them drop and move on to something else.

It will build up the economy and get the 0-star inactive directors out and start making progress
How does it build up the economy by handing you free shit when there are already plenty of available jobs for you to join.
Building the economy would involve you actually putting something into the economy by buying a company for yourself.
The economy is a pointless argument anyway, there's nothing wrong with the economy on this level, there is however an issue with too many companies in the game and an even bigger issue with many of these being run by morons... your idea just makes both of these points worse.
If people were to sell it or improve it instead of having these random DEAD companies that may it look shit plus it would open up more jobs for the growing torn population there is no point arguing with u, u are a blunt knife!
Then delete them? No need to give them away to people who haven't earned them.
There is no shortage of jobs for the Torn population.
There are for AN's they have made waiting lists my mate has been waiting a month or 2 and thats just one case
There are no shortage of AN jobs, plenty waiting to rank up. So if one drops then some will quickly take their place.
There are also no inactive or jailed 10 star AN directors, so your suggestion doesn't exactly make any difference to this point.
Something I dont get... These directors open a company, after a few days or weeks they quit torn...
This means now that there is abandoned companies just sitting there, while another director could be growing it into a 10 star, and not to mention that if the Director quit thats one less company to hire.
AT LEAST that company after 700 days or so should be auctioned off.
If someone wants to grow a company to 10 star then they're welcome to buy one themselves... someone quitting after a few weeks or days is going to leave a 0 or 1 star company behind... not exactly a shortage of people hiring for these, it does better to leave these dead or just delete them as it will give people who actually DO have companies they are trying to rank up a better chance at ranking them.
Having more useless companies just makes it harder to do so, giving less people a chance to rank to 10 stars which is what you want here right?
Start your own inactive company
Hmm..... I think the companies should be charged a weekly rent for hiring the company building...... If this rent isnt paid for 3 months the company goes into foreclosure and gets auctioned or giving to the bank. Causing it to be either removed from the game or sold to someone.... Maybe higher bidder/auction style?
Also it should be possible to buy off the rent, meaning that you bought the building. Since youre no longer renting it it cant go into foreclosure and so you will never lose the company. Also this feature should be unlocked once your company reaches 8 stars....
This way 1 star companies wont stay inactive and the directors of the more succesful companies dont have to worry about losing it.
Yes I know foreclosure is mortgage related and not the rent.... But I hope that you get the idea.
lol
You should though, actually try running a company for yourself and you'll look back on ideas like this and realise how much worse for the system it would actually be.
I appreciate it's hard for you to get a perspective of how the companies system works as you've not run one or how the game runs because you're new, but seriously try it for yourself and the amount of other idiot directors out there will suddenly show you how bad of an idea it is to throw even more of them into the mix.
In law, abandonment is the relinquishment, giving up or renunciation of an interest, claim, civil proceedings, appeal, privilege, possession, or right, especially with the intent of never again resuming or reasserting it. Ergo the Government has the right to posses and sell or auction the abandonment of the property.
Same thing should apply here. Company is inactive, then Auction it off.
In life nothing is Free we all know that, even to breathe isnt free, because to breathe in, we first need to breathe out.
So in auction buy that copany and that will be that. If the Director does not wish for that to happen, then login, and delete the damn company himself.
do the hard work and get your own company.

The difference is, this isn't a real world scenario. In real life you hope for these kinds of situations as you want to keep people in work, particularly in environments where there are shortages of work. People IRL can't just suddenly retrain or get rehired elsewhere if their company goes under, so by buying out failing companies it helps to get them going again, support local economies and keep people and families afloat.
None of that in Torn exists though.
If a company goes under, you don't need to relocate, you don't need to worry about where your next meal is coming from as you're suddenly unemployed for several days/weeks/months, you don't need to worry about your local economy failing due to the ex-employees of a particular industry no longer being able to contribute to it.
In Torn, you just click and move on to the next eagerly awaiting "NOW HIRING" company link without a care in the world and no affect whatsoever on your quality of life.
TL;DR We do not need to encourage more and more companies as it does nothing but make the system worse for existing directors.
