lets just assume that this is what it looks like it okay dek there's lots of different scenarios that could have happened right? there's just too much grey area that we don't know about for example what if stretch mailed me to report two people so he could look in to their logs is that one year in fed because to me that sounds wayyyyyy worse than just going in to some ones logs

i personally believe if you are handing out a one year ban you might as well just delete the persons account one year is a long time i don't believe many people would bother playing after a year

The question here is did he use information gained whilst doing his duties as a staff member - if the answer is yes but only a little bit, you have to ask yourself what else as he done?

This then brings to question an integrity issue. Also if ched doesn't punish this guy, this also brings future decisions to question where he does punish a player.

Escalation process should be used to determine a fit punishment but then that punishment should be set as standard and measured against.

Sometimes you just have to admit you messed up and did something!

An underlying rule in staff, is if the staff member had a history with the player involved the report that may offer some bias and in this scenario possibly inappropriate access to tempting privacy/information then the report needs to be handed over.

You can argue lower down the chain, gain being quite minimalistic, of course, you cannot prove otherwise that the information gained did not provide significant asset. However, I would argue if indeed the entirety of the facts are correct, then inappropriateness from the initial step is evident and unfortunately, I would imagine the issue requires it being addressed. Of course, addressing this can be done in the privacy of the staff room rather than leave accessible to everyone.

Stretch went into nova's logs after nova reported someone, found the convo between nova and psychotica

told psychotica that nova was screenshotting their convos after going off at her for some convos that he never should have known about

nova reported, ched confirmed the abuse and he got a slap on the wrist for the bullshit of using his staff tools for his own personal / faction gain

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what "gain" he got ? Did he get paid by the minute for his chat with Psy ? There doesnt seem to be any actual gain but some information that didnt seem to benefit him or his faction in any way whatsoever in the end. Again, this thread is garbage, and like so many have already said, not really anyones business but Ched, Psy, Nova and Stretch, and as you can all plainly see, they arent dignifying this shit show with a response.

No, it was a breach of privacy in this case, which he abused if things happened the way they did.

So personally I think it's very important to have it all cleared up, for any future cases similar like this one.

In theory, if someone wants to access my personal chats through a befriended admin, they simply have to report me for instance.

As a concerned player, I wanna hear an official response to this.

I don't know Stretch myself and I'm not saying that he's not a good person or an able admin, people can make mistakes when emotional.

I do want reassurance if steps have been taken to minimise cases like this.

He gained the knowledge of a faction member and a HoF faction leader that was recruiting his members. He then threw Nova's name in the shit by lying and saying Nova screenshotted their convos and passed them around.

I have explained it this way outside the forums before but i'll explain it again

Say for example you and your spouse have a conversation where she sends you nudes

you have been recruiting JFA members to JFC and JFA are now losing members rapidly

your spouse is friends with stretch

you file a player report on some multi

stretch now has the power to go through your chats so does exactly that to see who you tryna recruit

he sees the conversation where your spouse sent nudes and gets mad because she doesn't send him nudes

so he then goes and confronts your spouse about it and tells her you he found out because YOU were sending her nudes out to everyone

how ****ed up is that? would it lead you and your spouse to stop being friends too? that's what happened with psychotica and nova (without the nudes part tho) before nova reported

In any serious company a person abusing classified company information for personal gain would be fired instantly, that person would for sure not be allowed to work there anymore.

There was no real gain, and Id like to think everyone knows their chats are view-able by staff...so he didnt want to say where he got the info, well, thats a personal choice not made in his role as staff, and IF he did choose to throw a dude poaching his members under the bus, well, thats a choice he made as a faction leader , AGAIN not in his role as staff. The only thing he did in his role as staff is review chat logs due to a report being made. That was his job, and he did it. Anything else is just people grasping at straws...

BUT, i think its important for people to know that while you have been "sitting on this for months" you only decided to post it after recently being told to "f*ck off" by Stretch personally when you apped to JFA 2.0. The timing is pretty convenient, in my opinion, and gives a little insight to these sheep why you decided to "break the story" now .
