How do you identify who placed an anonymous bounty on you?

This is not theoretical. It has happened twice, Staff tell me it is not possible. I tell them it has happened.

Anyone know how, feel free to share privately if you do know?

First of all, which staff told you its not possible.... cause that is a blatant lie.

Newspaper bounty option: "I would like to make my listing anonymous (+50% fee)" Easy as that to make your listing "anonymous"

You can discover who placed anonymous bounties using 7star Cyber cafe special: "7 star: IP Tracing - View lister of anonymous bounties (25 jp)"

Note it will probably not work if the lister has SYS benefit block.

But as others have said, it most definitely is possible, my guess is staff was telling you it wasn't possible to find out who was placing it. But it is - you just need to pay someone in a cyber cafe has No_yolo has stated. Not worth it for the most part, just deal with them..
