What does win margin means

example: if you bet on a winning margin with 3 goals, the team needs to win being 3 goals ahead of the other team, so 3-0, 4-1, 5-2, etc.

should have been simple to understand upon seeing the bet options
seriously, team a to win by 1... team a to win by 2... what else could that possibly mean?
