Its been a few days, and no items have spawned on the map. ive looked around and nothing has spawned. is there a way to boost spawning items and or cause them to spawn? i have 2 awareness upgrades on merits.

Its been a few days, and no items have spawned on the map. ive looked around and nothing has spawned. is there a way to boost spawning items and or cause them to spawn? i have 2 awareness upgrades on merits.
Just logging in once a day will give you a chance at an item spawn, which happen at midnight TCT.
You can increase your chances by having awareness upgrade / joining companies with awareness buffs / using an awareness book, whether they're worth it or not though I'll leave to you to judge.
If you want to increase your chances of more items spawning, you need to invest in more Awareness.
Though you would probably be best spending your merits on something else...
City can either make your day or make it meh, as you can get a boxing glove or a couple smoke grenades.

Was going to say what i would give for 1 smoke grenade...
Increasing your awareness through merits or job specials is the only way to make more items spawn on average, but you can't force them to spawn (with the exception of the Press Pass TV Network job special, but even that is random). I would still say your merits are better spent on something more concrete though, no matter how much awareness you have, you still need luck above all else to get something good.
As somebody who has 5 points in awareness, and a passive job special that increases awareness by 50% I would tell you to just forget about finding items in the city. The spawn rate is crap, and you're very unlikely to find something good.
The way the RNG works in this game means that you're just as likely to find something valuable with maxed awareness as you would with no awareness.
