Specially in the current system, where everything requires respect and as a new player there really isn't a lot you can do to get it. A strong and estabilished player can easily do the earlier chains by himself and/or invite a couple friends and grind out the first few upgrades, but for a new player that really isn't going to happen as you lack the contacts, finances, and weight to either farm up or get someone to do it for you.
