its once every now and then, not worth complaining about. whats really annoying me is the "Wrong RFC" message

Captchas are there just to scam your time, they should be removed

Typically it shows up every 15 minutes if you don't use crimes, the gym or the travel agency

There has to be a capchta system!

Imagine what a cheating nerd would do with scripts which could crime click, gym and use drugs automatically could do. It doesnt bare thinking about. There has to be something which is a obstacle to the really nasty breed of cheater.

All text browser games have a lot of cheaters and nerds, im afraid there have to be hurdles for them to overcome even though they unfortunately effect real game players as well. Its pretty bad trying to do any of the capchtas on my cheap phone. But i have no problem with it the capchtas have to be there.

The Capchta system is terrible, but if it holds back cheaters and scripters i'm all for it. But maybe they should add one while browsing the items market too, because i'm sure there is scripts out there refreshing constantly on certain pages and buying right away from bazaars and loose sales. Every time I put ONE cheap item of $200 on it there is always the same people buying them. They are clicking 5 times for what might be $50 profit. They are either insane or use scripts. 

I would hate more capchta's there, because I browse the market myself, but there should be some checking in that area too!

I bet some of the cheaters do use buying scripts on the item market and i agree there should be a captcha there as well.

Though some of the people who you think are cheating doing that arent.

I buy a LOT of stuff from the markets after work hours. And many others will do.

But some of them will be cheating, at it all day long with a script. But many of them really will be legit.

Some of the stuff i do on the item market/cheapest bazaars is OCD madness :P

I dont use the stock market much if at all. In fact sometimes years go by when i dont look at the stock market. Seriously.

But judging from some of the stuff i have seen on the forums  there needs to be VERY frequent captchas when you look at the stock market screen.

Like i said i dont use the stock market but if it isnt there already that is one place to put a hurdle in front of the cheaters.

Personally i think the stock thing needs a TOTAL reworking.

You shouldnt be able to trade in shares. You should just be able to buy the stock benefit and nothing else. No holding and buying extra shares.

And i expect to see a bazillion thumbs down from cheating stock multies for me  having the audacity to post this.

Isnt buying shares to make profit when the stock goes up  is what the stock market is for?

Ched himself has said he doesnt want the stock market to be a money printing machine for the richer players. I hope he follows up on his words and makes a change or 2 :P

what ever the captcha remover i hope its not some cookie or ip thing as neither stay for long with me. Cookies are cleaned every 10min or so and ip changes randomly a bit slower. Which means gmail etc have to be confirmed by phone all the damn time.

in many ways perhaps its best to remoe the stockmarket then and instead merely buy benefits at given prices like any old goods.
As the alternative to money printer s a player managed market which would either be in lockdown since forever as buy/sell differ way too much... or then in lockdown as each individual share gives benefis rather than as set blocks. Like 1 fhc for every 2 million FHG per week. In that case the rich would own all the shares and never sell.
Except maybe like 200 billion for a block or some such.

Yeah but any truly competent cheater could bypass the capcha system entirely.

It was outdated upon it's creation and only serves to block basic, amateur cheaters, but as computers get more and more advanced, the current captcha system is relying on people who want to cheat not wanting to go as far as would be needed to get through it.

What you say is true. But there has to be SOMETHING anything to stop the cheaters. The worst of the cheaters dont even want to play that much, they would just have a bot do the boring stuff for them. They have to have hurdles to overcome. There have to be capchtas or something else to catch the bot players.

The latest newsletter said it was going away as the system has fairly robust bot detection now compared to the good old days, I'd say mainly thanks to everything now being logged as a transaction (which you can see being added in a lot of patches).

Bots are bad, API that doesn't give an advantage is good, bot detection is fab

Maybe but I personally would watch for anyone with 24h activity rather than try to create an ineffective gate that's just annoying rather than actually helping.

It would stop basic botters, that's it. Not to mention the capcha isn't even active for city buys or the stock market, which would be more prime targets for botting.

Travel botting and gym botting are the only two things this blocks, and only at the most basic level. Anyone with any matter of knowledge who isn't a total rookie could just bypass the system. I'll keep it vague how though.
