People are bored... Waring 2.0 coming woooooooooot soooooooooooooon
i hope so we carnt wait
Well done both sides and congrats to CR.
i was going to ask if you wanted in on byt got distracted at work :(
It was intense and great fun. The vast majority of participants on both sides kept the fight respectful and that's honestly what made it so enjoyable. Up till the last 10 minutes or so the fight could have gone either way.
You were certainly amazing! Keep in mind we've adopted you
As a member of The Protectorate from day one when we started the faction i don't agree with guesting as much fun as the war was and it was my first proper war I believe these wars should be won and lost by the faction's members not hired help...... How are small unknown faction's like us or Crossroads supposed to grow when other faction's pay for hired help??
On the one hand, yeah I get it being on the receiving side of a guest fest sucks. On the other hand this wasnt a war both sides agreed to and Crossroads didnt want to be in it in the first place. You can't just expect weaker factions to blindly just take it up the arse all the time - there comes a time in every factions life when they have got to take a stand. And if they cant do it alone they get outside help.
When war is declared then there should be no further members permitted to join a faction. Anybody can hire mercenaries and give a false image of their faction abilities. Warring 2.0 will address this? You have to tickle yourself when a faction hires in help to war and does near enough hee haw themselves to fight.
Congrats to JinHoshi and CR they used what they could to win a battle they would’ve got swamped in no one can argue there, great job to them. This was fought in a respectful way by two teams who went all in, we might be little but both teams have big hearts, anything that looked like it would ruin a growing friendship between us was stopped quickly to keep it that way.
In the end we had to ask for help but that just added to the fun, man it was an epic blast swaying both ways :)
Thanks to all the guys who came to help and helped with the only payment from us being tea and sandwiches.
Im old enough to remember when we could have a war that wasn’t prearranged and this felt more like that, let’s hope 2.0 brings that back instead of boring agreed wars for farming respect!
Any way thanks again to both teams, guests and core for the fun
Ice
Just going to say that I wish Crossroads the best of luck in future endeavors, and I'll see you next week!
I really appreciate how you dealt with the TP'ing of my PI. It wasn't anything major but you dealt with it swiftly and in a gentlemanly manner. There is not enough respect in Torn. You sir have my respect.
Had oodles of fun. Moments of panic. Moments of bravado. And the insanity of the last 10 minutes was unreal.
Iceboy, you and your team were amazing, tenacious and honourable. Whether we end up fighting one the same side or on opposite sides, it will be a pleasure.
I've learned a bunch in the last three days. Thank you to everyone invovled.
this guesting is nothing compared to the old days when factions used to rotate the whole teams to get maximum number of hits and to avoid retals
I agree with this theory but disagree with guests being able to join after the start of a war. A faction can receive help from outside factions/players (as also demonstrated by CR) without having the ability to basically have others come in afterwards to sit their wall (although I did enjoy seeing old friends come to help us on the last day). If a faction cannot get their own members to put forth the effort to sit their own wall, well then perhaps they shouldn't have ownership of the territory to start with. That being said, I had an awesome time warring over the past few days, most fun I've had in years. I have to congratulate CR on their victory, Cheers y'all, well done !!! Secondly thank you for keeping the interactions we had civil and respectful. Not everyone kept it civil, but surprisingly the only idiots who messaged me personally trolling, talking out their arse, and being stupid were non CR members, just general trolls and wanna be's in the game who aren't worth the time it took to read what they typed....... . Again to Crossroads, congratulations on a job well done and thank you for the fun.
For anyone who would like to examine the stats collected for The Protectorate during this war :

The only down side to this is, that the attacking would always have a major advantage. You could easily stack your faction a day before warring with guests and then war. This just means only 1 faction will have guests making it nearly impossible to defend (if done well).
most fun I've had in torn for a long time xD
I had actually wanted to come over but it really wasn't a good time for me. I'll be there next time.
