Okay, so for this Mr & Ms competition it seems like everyone has really high quality photos- while mine looks like crap. I used my IPhone 8 camera to take the picture, but to upload I had to change the dimensions down using a website and change the file type which made the picture look horrible.

What is everyone else's secret for uploading pics on Torn?

Save it as a .png

I emailed from my phone to my computer and then opened in in paint and resized it based on pixels

What dims did you use?

The maximum size is 2048x2048, when you resize your image make sure you keep the same aspect ratio as not to distort your image and save it as a PNG.

I used paint.NET to do this which does the maths for me, since my original photo was over double the maximum size. You can also adjust the quality of the exported image via paint.NET, but be wary of the file size limit when doing this.
