Was just wondering if its worth to be buying and investing in points which can be sold again later? With the new bookie system all manners of stashing money away safely has been eliminated completely. Unfortunately I cannot go running around with money only to be mugged eventaully.

Buying and selling points is a good way to store money. The price usually doesn't change much. Just be aware of people buy mugging you.
ghost trades, faction vault, items with stable values (like points, DP, plushies/flower sets), using MUG protection, there are some way still available.
For your question, yes, if you can resell them at the same price or some % more or less, but points value may decrease, there are always risks...
I usually attack a target that'll get me hospitalised immediately after I open bazaar or sell points. That way the buy mugger can go f- himself.
Using incompatible blood bag is also a good alternative.
Yes, points are a good way to hold your excess cash. The price is pretty stable. Sometimes it goes up and down, but usually not by enough to seriously affect your money. As above though just be careful of people buy-mugging you, if you decide to sell a large quantity of points at once. High in demand items such as Xanax also work.
