I would just like to ask why there is no experience bar so that we can see our experience progress for our leveling purpose.

There is an experience bar. U can see it by visiting fortune teller in China. Or u can use the job special named ''Power levelling" available in a Game shop with atleast 7* rating.
Torn has always been that way, just as some games don't show your health, Torn doesn't show your experience bar. It's likely a design choice by Chedburn that's just been stuck with. You can find out your % to next level up by using the fortune teller in China (once you can fly at level 15), but for average gameplay level is not that important after level 15.
Edit: hardysingh beat me to it..
Because Ched looked around in other games, noticed that every one of them had an experience bar, and decided it would be more fun not knowing exactly where you stand. I agree.
Still, he made a concession to all those players from other games, the ones who cannot live with the sheer uncertainty of not knowing, who want every game to be the same, and added something in China.
I can't say why exactly it's not there, I don't know what was running through Ched's mind when he made it like that, but I quite like it being hidden. Leveling up is always a nice surprise instead of knowing exactly when it's coming. It makes you focus less on pure levelling up like in a lot of other games, and lets to focus on other things instead.
You don't need a experience bar brahhh, you gotta play more and get experience then go see the fortune teller. She'll point you in the right direction.
