Wtf?!

How the **** am i meant to be able to upgrade my car when i consistently come in 6th place in every race i enter?

Whats the ****in point?! Ive got a 55 consecutive 6th plave finish and no points to make car better... utter bullshit

Would suggest you do some 100 lap custom races to build up your Driver Skill (DS). No points in them but they will raise your DS. That should help you move forward some.

Yes they are long races and are best done when you switch off at night. However if you dont fly they can easily be done during the day.

What class and what cars?

Literally the worst streak of luck ever... I have considered giving up but im stubborn... lol im currently trying to race in a C class car, a chevy z06 with no upgrades..

 

If you're still in Class C then you have plenty of time to get a handle on things.  I took about 10 days getting through Class C with the Z6 and a total of 10 upgrades.  If I did it again - I'd use even fewer upgrades, with the expectation that it would take a bit longer to get to Class B.  At these levels, an increase in driving skill can quickly overshadow any upgrades that you use - so be patient and begin saving those points to upgrade some when you get to Class B.  I'd suggest lots of official races during the day, run 100-lap races at night, and save your points so when you do get to B, you can upgrade your Cosworth right away.

Are you in class C? The way this is worded could mean you are in Class B with a class C car. Keep at it and gain driver skill.

As for the points, spend the fewest as possible for each class. Basically once you start placing in the top 3 on regular basis stop using points in that class. Reason is that you begin the next class with points to use. 

It's a grind. I'm not gonna lie, it takes a minute to start winning races. I was where you are, with the same question. Just keep at it.

It gets better. Also, car choice makes a big difference too.

You're in C class, and trying to race with no upgrades.  Pretty much everyone else in C class is going to have some upgrades.

Maybe you should do some upgrades on your car?

There is a job special for racing points, but that is for the really desperate and that didnt exist when i got 'stuck'.

When i got 'stuck'  and i did a couple of times i had to patiently grind away for months and months and months ....

Doing many races every single day until i slowly starting earning some racing points. It is possible but takes time and patience.

I got 'stuck' between class B and A for a lot of months if i remember right, but i did very slowly get out of it with patience :P

You are talking getting 1 3rd position for doing 20-30 races or whatever :P

You can work your way out of it.

if you are in class C..... what happened to all of the points you earned in class D? 

Spend on class d cars. Which are useless in class c.

The fatal trap of the novice racer.

Spending so many points they havent got any point left when they go up in class against better cars and have to use a stock car in the new class. Not a good situation.

I did it twice and it took months to get out of it both times :P

Hit the nail on the head there dunmugmeh! Spent it all on d car thinkin would do ok in c class n turns out i wasted the points.. silly error im trying to correct!

You can get out of it with a lot of patience.

Or you can get the job and get some racing points to upgrade a class c car a bit  so you will start picking up some racing points in class c. You wont need that many upgrades to start getting results in class c and when you do, get a real job again and stop upgrading your class c car.

Pretty sure I was around 1000 races with my Astin before I had it fully upgraded.  1800 now and 330 wins.  Some of those were the last few needed for the second merit.  Couldn't tell you where I was when I got that first point or win.  I do distinctly remember a streak around C or D class with 30+ before a point gained.  Did the same.  Upgraded a car that I have seldom used since.

But, eventually the DS got high enough the points started coming in. Once you break that barrier, they come a lot faster it seems as well.

If you think it is bad now, wait until A class with a DS under 10 and you will see frustration.  Get that DS up now.
