The other day i found a book while searching the city and took it. When i searched through my items though, it wasn't there anymore. Has this happened to anyone else?

Books are temporary items that are one time use and disappeared once used in combat.
Did you use it? If not, then you should probably post in the Bugs&Issues forum.
Was it a book that you can read, or a temp item book for combat. Either way they are consumable so to speak. Post in bugs and issues if you did not use it.
