Today I spent points to reset merits, half way through it my page froze and while clicking trying to get it to respond somehow the wrong category clicked and before I knew it I had merits in the wrong place about halfway through my reset. The only way I knew to fix it was to stop at that point and do another reset which cost me several more points. If you can read my account logs you'll see what I mean and if there is any way I can get my points back for the second reset I had to do due to game/server freeze that would be awesome. If not I understand but it really was the game's fault, not mine.

i am confused, if the page froze, how were you able to still click and spend merits?
because it unfroze but in a different spot.
1 category away from the one intended to open opened and I didn't notice until too late.
I mean I'm not trying to get over on anyone. It's not like I can't afford to take the loss, heck I spend alot of r/l $$ on the game so can easily afford the loss. It just sux getting gutted when it is the game gutting me. lol

and please do not think that i assume you were trying to get one over on us, i was just trying to collect as much info as possible.
Oh I don't think that at all and would actually understand if nothing came of this because I was too stupid to double check which category opened when it unfroze. But honestly had it not froze at all they would have went the proper place. It just sux spending 5500 points for one full reset which started as 2500 points. Like I said though, I can afford it so if it's a bother, don't worry about it. I mean this is all just in the last year so it's not like I'm a broke bloke. lol It's only 3,000 points.

I wasn't even going to report it to start with, you can see it was hours ago. I was talking to my wife though (who plays a different game) and she said "You should just tell the game administrator. If something like that happened in my game they would just check the logs and refund the extra I spent.". So I thought hey, that's an idea so I'll try it and see what happens. lol
@admin who checks: I would be curious to see if the merits got spent, and how. For example to try and boost and get those new perk merits.

@report: If the merits were just reset, and untouched I would say there may be some legitimacy to this. Just kinda depends what happened after the reset

I don't know how a freezing page could result in you somehow opening the tab and then also clicking 'SPEND'?
I would love to simply provide a free merit reset (that would be incredibly simple), but I don't think it's the right move - although I'm sure other games in similar circumstances might take this easy route. I'm unable to find any issue on our end, or any potential fix to remedy this in the future. Also, while I certainly believe there was an issue which caused you to make a mistake - maybe on our end, maybe on your end, it's an improvable situation - the logs simply show you making an upgrade as expected. Taking any action here would set precedents and we'd receive bug reports and requests for developers to intervene for any mistake made - players would just need to make up a story each time.
If you are able to recreate this 'freeze' and provide any information that might help us find the issue and resolve it - we can do so and provide a reset if it's an issue on our end that is resolved.
