A lot of people will tell you Torn is a long term game by nature. That you'll need to stick around and put in the time, the years, decades, if you ever want to get a lot or everything done. And I agree with this.

My rather grim and curious question to you is, do you also consider Torn a waiting game?

We're well over a decade in now, and I'm sure people who were doing well or have even been at the top in some areas have either let it go, quit, or even died in real life.

So how long do you think you will last? Does the thought ever cross your mind that you're in good health, young, and could easily be playing this game for another 50, 60, 70, or more years? And that by that point all or most of your current competition will have either given up or passed away? Do you think you can outlast other players?

So this is more of a discussion of what you believe will come first. Game death, you quitting, you dying, what else? Will you survive for decades more while your competition withers away? How does the prospect of that make you feel?

Rino will be the one playing after we all quit or die, he's gonna reach 1bill total in 2045 and then soon after he'll be the best in the game.

Ah I finally understand. His ultimate long-term plan was just to give everyone else who reads his posts cancer.

I feel like imma gamble all my money at one point for no reason, just out of boredom. If i lose it all, i go, if i make even more, ill probably gamble that too and go.

I will quit Torn the day it stops being fun for me. Right now, I am enjoying the game and can't see myself quitting anytime soon.

Probably in 20 years or so when I get some form of brain rotting disease and forgot to log one day.

Knowing my luck the day before Ched releases Crime 2.0...

Long after we are all dead, the last remaining player will probably be from Myanmar, just saying. His account will have been playing for 145 years.

I don't think it's a waiting game at all, and if you do - you are playing the game wrong. By wrong, I mean there are PLENTY of things to be doing to keep people busy!

How long will I play? I'm not sure - I have no intentions in leaving any time soon. It doesn't affect my real life, I still manage to do what I want to do (work / play). To be honest, as time goes on, I am enjoying Torn more and more. As figures/donations increase, it allows for more (and higher quality) developers, thus resulting in better quality content being released.

Can I see myself playing next year? In 5 years? In 10 years? Sure why not!
