Was thinking there should be an option for us to buy our pilot's licence for 250 points. But it wouldn't kick in until the holder had 100 days flying under his/her belt. This would get rid of the need to hire a pilot for our private island. Also having said licence would replace the happy that hiring a pilot would give. And also if you had your licence , your spouse would be able to fly using your licence. but for every flight the spouse would take the person with the licence would get the cash that would be associated with a commercial flight. for example , you have a licence , your spouse flies to mexico , you would receive 6500$ yet the spouse would not have to pay it.

Its a cool Idea.
Would the happy thats given from having a pilot, then given as a license, apply to other properties?.
To me a license would be a personal perk. The license gives X happy as it dismisses PI pilot. So if you were say move into a castle, would that happy then be applied to the castle? Hope that makes sense.
Not so sure im hip to the idea of spouse using the licence. Maybe if they could join you on the flight, and both fly at the same time. Spouse starts a que much like a RR match, then other spouse joins. Owner of license picks location of flight. However i think it would promote multi's :/

the happy would only apply to the PI since the PI is the only property with an airstrip. and it applies to any PI you are living in!. Also digger with hiring the pilot for the PI both spouses can go their separate ways with only one pilot this would be the same for spouse with pilot's licence exactly as the airstrip currently works

25e to fly? hell no. I will rather hire the pilot if given the option.
flying licence seems nice if ched introduce a new plane instead of replacing the pilot. open a new tab to fly by yourself, where you need to purchase gas can, can accelerate and decelerate according to the upgrades of your plane, depends on the weather, so YOU and weather control the flight time instead of fixing it (I know its has some % varies now).
edit: the flight time cannot be faster than BCT else BCT will be devalued.
Like the idea, but would cut our the part where your spouse can use it.
if the spouse couldn't use it he/she would have to hire pilot and the benefit of not having to pay for a pilot would be gone. the whole point of this is to get rid of the maintenance fees associated with hiring a pilot!
Sounds cool! Definitely if there is some sort of flying skill, just like racing and hunting. The higher your flying skill the shorter your flight. Maybe it would be possible to take someone with you on your flight, and let them pay for that as it goes quicker then a normal flight, if your skill level is high enough.
