Since you have been on the job a few days even being on "training status" players would like some information, I was hoping you would introduce yourself and say what you vision for the game.  I would love to have you answer some questions from the players if you would.

Mine:  

I understand the need to hide your identity if you are a current player which I believe you are so no I will not ask nor do I expect you to reply to others asking that question.

Can you share your current experience in any game(s)? Do you play others?

What is your views on the current due process procedures?  What would you like to see change?

What is your current views on multiple accounts?

Is there any plans to clean house in the current committee members that is there only to advance there account?  Staff same question?

And you think a few days is enough for someone to be ready to stroll into General Discussion and start putting themselves out there to have shots taken at them? Not a chance. I'd hope whoever it is has the common sense to not do that.

Look, I am sick and tired of the garbage that is being allowed here in G/D, nobody is forcing him/her to answer anything, a simple introduction is not asking too much.  Why not answer some simple questions other CM's had no issue making introductions.  Obviously they are hiding and I am fine with that, if you bother reading my statement about his/her identity you would see that, but no lets just jump on the bash a decent thread bandwagon.

 

 Hello, please do not consider this an official announcement, but allow me to make a short introduction. :)

 

I am a current player, and am keeping a running tally of the various guesses people have had for who I am, which I hope will make for interesting reading in a few months time if I pass my training.

 

I have no intent on deceiving the players; the intent behind this account is to currently make things a little easier on the training side so that when I am in a more "trained" state I can be confident and consistent in what I do as an admin alongside the staff team, I do not feel I can confidentially call myself an admin or manager before I am suitably trained, which is what I hope to achieve by having this account.  

 

Currently I am only working part time learning the staff systems, at the point where I am much more confident in all of these I will be coming out of hiding so to speak; as such I do not feel it is fair for me to comment on the more personal aspects of the game or staff without making my own in depth assessments, I hope you understand.

 

I have a lot of plans for the game, but currently I am focusing on learning more. I hope to do right by the game, the staff, the players and to be a liaison for all, and where need be a final decision maker; my main focus at the end is to ensure a level of consistency for staff and someone staff and players alike can rely on.

 

I would rather not give too much away all in one go, but people are welcome to message me to ask questions and if I can help or answer I will.

 

In time however this role will not just be a "staff management" role, I intend on keeping tabs of all non developer operations across Torn to free up time for Chedburn to focus on managing the development side.

 

More information will come with more official announcements, but in the meantime I hope I have satisfied some of your questions, as others have said you are always welcome to message me too, but I would be remissed if I did not also make this post here, I do not want to ignore the community after all. :) Until I have come out of a training state though please be aware I may not be able to answer every question posted.

I'm actually quite curious about where the CM stands myself.  It will definitely be interesting to see what they have planned.

They are far from Hiding, Trainee is in global pretty actively answering questions regularly.

Very few people use global chat due to the toxic nature it has held for a very long time.  It's even started to spill into the forums which is why those who frequent the forums are wanting it taken back out.

Hmmm lots of threads over this from Styx.  Looks like someone wanted this position pretty bad.
