I think this will affect the small guys more and the big guys less.
Anyone who gets regularly attacked by a group is now poison to a faction. With no factions willing to take them, they will struggle in the game. Many of these people may deserve the hassle, Others will be nice people who have arseholes targeting them.
As a leader, i don't like the idea that i will have to kick people who are getting bullied...
Large factions will be somewhat immune to this damage, small factions will quickly start to lose respect. It makes an already present handicap far greater. I think that handicap was already a minor issue. Not sure exactly on the math, But i fear this will damage the game considerably... More for the little guys than the big ones,
Does it really need to be even more biased to the already strong and powerful?
It has already been discussed thoroughly at length with the committee. I don't really understand the bias you mentioned. 25% is 25% to a big faction or a small faction.
Lol, anyone who is regularly attacked to the scale that you're implying is almost certainly poison anyway, and frankly being this way should come with it's own setbacks.
Bonuses used to target level 100s, meaning that bringing a weak level 100 in for example would be poison, so focussed the issue on them entirely. Now the issue is diluted and spread amongst anyone (but probably those as you mentioned, that have cancerous behaviour). This is way more fair than just repeatedly targeting the same nooby level 100s, which is no more deserving of a bonus particularly.
The main point was to also prevent this stupid farming that factions are beginning to master, and incite real conflict, which 25% is more likely to do.
Big factions have the potential to strip more respect and so are less likely to be targeted and lose any. Small factions that don't have the ability to strip another of much respect are unable to do much about it, Big factions will therefore keep gaining and smaller factions will have a much harder time gaining ground.
It gives big factions far more dominance over small ones. They can easily make someone a drain on a faction. I get that it breeds competitiveness. But i think it makes it harder for those that needed help and easier for those that already had it easy.
Examples,
-Big faction buys 50k faction. fills with members, then the big faction can wipe out another 50k faction without cost to their main.
-An established faction with territories will stay stable as the territory offsets the losses. A small faction trying to move inwards will just meet even more resistance and the harder they try to make ground, the more respect they will lose.
I might be wrong, maybe i jumped the gun with "losing players" But to me this seems like a huge change and i can only assume the implications will have a knock on effect. Stealthing has just become super important for example. Mugging has just got a much higher toll to the faction.... Logically speaking, we should now punish bad mugging decisions and try to get everyone to stealth as much as possible....
Small factions will have to ban members from mugging, retaliations will cost them 2.5 times more now. Big factions will be able to extort small ones easily.
I don't think i'm wrong, the established factions are far stronger for it and the little factions trying to make progress have a lot more resistance. Not asking for changes. Just intuition says this will have a negative effect for many players enjoyment.
You should pick active members wisely, people should be afraid to have factions full of 100 again
Does bonus hits decrease other fc respect too? 25% of this ones can hurt a lot
Chain #1000 achieved | 640 respect (-160) |
Chain #2500 achieved | 1,280 respect (-320) |
Chain #5000 achieved | 2,560 respect (-640) |
Chain #10000 achieved | 5,120 respect (-1280) |
Chain #25000 achieved | 10,240 respect (-2560) |
Chain #50000 achieved | 20,480 respect (-5120) |
Chain #100000 achieved | 40,960 respect (-10240) |
Yes, Absolutely, though that fear is only for weaker factions with 100 people.
We just dropped our sub faction and selected players to keep based on their input..... A large portion of those good choices are now bad ones.
I am interested in seeing how these changes play out, But i'm not looking forward to having to cut several more good members after already dropping 90 people.
I also don't want to have to moan more at everyone who mugs from the wrong factions. And i don't want to have to push every member into using stealthed weapons...... Many new headaches, But in terms of continued success, these are logical things to now do.
I agree with Martyr and the bullying problem as it 1 reason I don't join in faction stuff as bullies make sure I useless as I be always in hospital and also try get me kicked by saying bad things about me. I don't agree with making people stealth as a true warrior doesn't need to hide. faction not around any more but people from factions are still doing so no idea of names
Any reduction is a smaller percentage of a larger factions total, and a larger percentage of a smaller factions total. Bias
Maybe i am missing something here. But if nerfing wall farming is the aim. Why not just make it so "Leaves" don't get war bonuses and only Hosps do...
Et Viola, problem solved.....
