Multi account cheaters, how Torn welcomes them!

Or not.. seems like those of us who play fair are the only ones not interested seeing people cheating like this be allowed to keep their stuff and main account.

So how is it, someone being busted for cheating with multiple accounts is banned for as little as 7 days? Thats like a little smack on the hand meaning shit and nothing to those who cheats. That is really not a REAL punishment! In fact, it will only trigger those who cheats to do better to not get caught. This is one thing which was better 10 years ago, punishments of cheating where serious stuff not some freaking candy cane bullshit off 7 days in fed where they eat cookies and have a time out like a freaking 6 year old.

When are you @chedburn gonna take multi account cheaters more serious? When you have busted them, delete their main account and let them have one of their shitty multi accounts left without anything on them. 7 days in fed on their main account is like rewarding them for trying to cheat.... Right?

Im curious to see, lets smack up a poll and see what the community has to say. Maybe our voices will be heard? Anyone being busted for having multiple accounts should lose their main, be stuck with one of their weakest multis and have everything of value strip off them or just lose everything and given a second chance to make another account.

There are a few things that do not make sense to me in what you literally just said. First thing would be being allowed to keep their stuff and their main account. The main account in general gets sent to federal jail and their illegally gained funds are being removed from the player. Personally, i do not see how this would be a bad punishment to anyone. They do it once, they get off with less. They do it again, they get bashed harder. Personally, i see this as being pretty fair. Its not perfect, but its pretty good. 

Also, claiming that the multies are not taken seriously seems fairly absurd as within the last 2 years there has been several systems introduced, which are in place only to catch multies on several platforms. I fail to see how 7 days in federal jail would feel like a reward? You are underestimating how boring those 7 days can be for people who are heavily involved in the game. I mean, i can hardly manage with one account to keep up with stuff, with several, you definitely are very heavily involved within the game. On to of that you lose all the monetary gains you got and in most cases end up with negative networth... In my opinion, it does not seem like a good time. As from personal experience, the 7 days in fed itself sucks. 

Like Havok above said, there are more that goes down with it than just the fed sentence. 

i agree 7 days is not long enough for ppl found guilty of being multi's, should be more like a month minimum, just my opinion

I agree that op is mostly a dumb****, but I hate that they keep all their stat gains. Living with negative money isn’t all that bad, especially when you’ve got hof stats from cheating. 

Those who are sweaty enough to have multiple accounts and play them actively are probably blue names who have donated a lot of money.

Ched would be dumb to really punish them on a first offense. Slap on the wrist won’t drive away paying customers. Harder punishments later are the threat so hopefully they don’t do it again.

It makes sense not to ban people who love your game for an infraction which they might just stop given a big enough warning/ threat.

We have a standard procedure for multies, its simple and exactly the same punishment , whether you gained 1 dollar or 50 billion. Either way you lose your ill gotten gains. If we based it on each case, we could be deemed to show bias, so 1 size fits all, so to speak. One day the system may change but until then we carry on regardless. Is 7 days enough? that depends on your perspective.

Given the assumption that the multis are used to gain NW, removing the illegal fund would be the best punishment, obviously.

But as we all know, with the NW comes stat gain. What about those too? What about the respects and all other achievements they got (with the help from their multis)?

Imho, any cheater must be made to see that their cheating affect others too. And in way more than just removing funds from others as well, like when Ched removed billions of NW from others who got it from a multi (thats not their own).

How about a reset button? Something like, "so you've been having multis for x days, so we removed everything and returned you to the stat before the multi"?

The 7 days is fine. It is so people that have made a minor mistake do not totally get knocked out of the game if they then decide to play without cheating.

 

Now maybe there should be a change with how many multis you have how long you had them for and how much you gained goes into the punishment. Where the first case of extreme multiism could get you more than the seven days.

You do realize i said, lose their main with everything they had of value on their accounts. Sitting left with a multi account with maybe 10 awards instead of their main which they have played dedicated on.

If there is more to it then a fed sentence, please to enlighten everyone what more there is to this punishment other then 7 days in fed.
And please dont say its "do it again you will be perma fed" that threat never works on cheaters.

What you just saying is promoting people to cheat. First offense only results in a 7 days ban and loss of the stuff you cheated to get.

Paying customers or not, these players are hurting the game more then helping it grow. How many new rookie players have not been driven away from this game because you have retarded people who cheats to make a living hell for someone new. This i know for a fact happens, it happened to my spouse which was lucky enough to have me by his side to fight off this cheater.

Is 7 days really enough? Put yourself in a cheaters seat. Would you care about 7 days ban?

What about those high level high aged players ingame who has been cheating for years.

They get a slap on the wrist, 7 days in fed and loses some money. Take that nate or whatever his name was. 35b was put into negatives on his account. How long did he abuse his friends account? How much battle stats has he gained because of the wealth he cheated to himself?

Stuff like that. Multi accounts needs to be hit down on hard, not 7 days come on. 31 days or longer if you wanna fed someone. Personally, i would just say delete their accounts - give them one more chance to start over and play the game fair like most do. If they cant accept that then **** off, there is enough shitty personalities on torn. We dont need more of those
