What is this stat cap i keep reading about?
Probably the stat gain limit where once you hit 50m your trains no longer receive increasing amounts based off the stat you are training.
The stat cap is 50,000,000 of a stat where they stop increasing exponentially.

Each of the four battle stats grow exponentially until the soft cap of 50 million, also known as the "stat cap" after which they grow at a relatively fixed rate.
Without a stat cap, people would have n*1021 battle stats and more, since your gym gains grow exponentially.
Is there a mushroom cap?
