I noticed MnC currently have 101 members of 100 total. I fully realize that this is because they have a "fallen" member on their team. It's a nice gesture not to boot a faction member that has passed, but is it really necessary to bend the rules just so factions can do this? Personally, in my opinion, the nice gesture goes out the window when the game allows you to do this. You are basically having your cake and eating it too in a way. I mean really, do you honestly think the person that died cares? What exactly is this proving? Part of running a faction is making difficult decisions. Whether to hang onto a member that can no longer play anymore in lieu of booting them to make your team one man stronger is a difficult decision but I don't think the game should bend the rules to accommodate for this. In some cases it makes a world of difference having the flexibility to take that one more active person in. There are already way too many rules that get bent and have been bent in the past and it does get taken advantage of at times.
Yes I think the dead person may cared about this.. There are many people who see their factionmates as friends and for some Torn isn't just a game but part of their life.. Why do you need to kick them, if they died?
This guy is the epitome of a keyboard warrior, nothing about him is evil. He’s another one of those basement dwellers munching on doritos and drinking fanta while typing away on his greasy keyboard.
Don't see how that provides an advantage or should be a difficult decision? They are literally fallen. They died. By allowing them to not take up a space, you can remember them as they were. They might have been a profile in an online game, but behind that, there was a real person who made friends in this game and will be missed by them.
Isn't that the advantage op is talking about? That they are able to still have 100 members while also providing an honorary membership? I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing personally, I would hope that the spot was paid for though, as even funeral irl take monies.
