Dump search verification

Sometimes Torn will ask for a verification when you search the Dump for items, but always after you have already spent 5E searching. The item you find with that 5E is not shown and can't be obtained after completing the verification.

A couple of days ago, I had this issue where it asked me to complete verification after clicking on Search. Bear in mind, this was after quite a few searches already, and probably just wanted it to be verified again.

So, instead of bringing up the item to Pick up / Toss, it asked me to complete verification. I didn't think much of it at the time, though.

Yeh this happens to me too. Normally happens when you search quite a few times in a row, as Stewie said.

It's as they guys above me said: Torn occasionally asks for verification, even when you're actively doing stuff.

Also happened to me when i had the dump open in a separate tab.

You click search, 5E gets deducted, search loads to 100%, then you need to verify. When verification is complete the page takes you back to search the dump but you don't get the earlier item you just spent 5E on.

Out of curiosity, are you using safari on an iPhone? Because I think that’s where the problem stems from, similar to when nerve is deducted upon clicking the crimes page. Every so often, the same double verification issue happens on the crimes page.

Issue was with Chrome on PC
