Serving in my last faction I saw some of the donated weapons had weapon attachments on them. I read about attachments on the wiki and forums and I see they're powerful. A few questions about them though. If I forget and donate a rifle with a trigger Attatchment on it to the faction armory for example will I ever be able to get it back?
Edit. If the rank and file donate weapons with attachments to the faction and then leave or get booted do they automatically get the attachments back?
Just out of curiosity is it possible to transfer a weapon out of the armory into someone else's items permanently? Effectively making it possible to sell weapons with attachments
Huh, I didn't think it was possible to put modded weapons into the armory. Are you sure it's not the symbol for burn/freeze/etc? But at any rate, if you leave your faction with loaned equipment in your inventory, it stays there. I accidentally 'stole' part of an armor set from my faction that way when I left temporarily :( Also donated equipment is, well, donated, AFAIK there's no connection to the previous owner, so I would not expect that they get the mod back if that's indeed what it is.
You can't donate a weapon with attachments. It will either automatically unequip the attachment, or tell you to remove it prior to donating. If you are seeing a weapon with an icon, it is indicating a weapon bonus, not an attachment. Attachments are account bound, like books.
If a weapon is loaned out to a member, and that member chooses to apply Attachment mods, itll show up in the faction inventory with those mods, but the weapon is still loaned to that player. the moment that weapon is sent back to the faction. the mods will be removed.
Weapon mods STAY with the player that purchased them, they cannot be transferred.
