Dream World is an imaginary reality that has been woven into the fabric of our restful existence. Thousands of years ago, the Dream Wizard ripped open this multiverse and made it his home. Every single one of you is connected to this world, and all of you are capable of accessing it.

All you have to do is fall asleep.

Close your eyes and wander into the wonders of the world of wizards, magic, and movie references! Do you have what it takes to explore the vast ridiculousness of Dream World?

 

 

 Everyone is welcome in Dream World, but there are rules you must follow!

Dream World Rules:

1. Each square on the map is considered 1 pace.
2. Each person is given 10 paces per day to move.
3. Player movements must contain a latitudinal and longitudinal direction. (Example: Up 1, Left 2)
4. Each person who enters Dream World is allowed to move 10 paces per day. You may break your movements into a maximum of two posts per day. Any paces that are not used within two posts will be lost for the day.
   
   Examples:
   
   Post 1: Starting at D1, move 1 down and 5 right.
   Post 2: From I2, move down 2 and left 2. (Day ends on square G4)
5. You do not need to use two forum posts to use your daily paces if you don't want to. You may move 10 paces in one forum post if possible, but your turn will be over and your moves on that post will be lost if you fall into a pit or something happens. You are allowed to post questions/concerns without affecting your moves. The two post rule is only for your "fall asleep" post and your movements. You may post freely if it does not involve your movements.
6. If you walk into a pit, then you will wake up and be removed from Dream World. There are no walls in Dream World... Only pits. So be careful.
7. You may fall asleep and go back into Dream World whenever you'd like, but both waking up/leaving and falling asleep/entering Dream World count against your daily allowed posts.
8. The locations of the map are hidden until traveled on or over. As people move around the map, the squares will be revealed.
9. To interact with "special locations," you must land directly on them. You may only interact with "special locations" once per day. 
10. To enter Dream World, simply post "Fall asleep." I will then add your name to the Current Dreamers list and your current location. I will keep track of your movements for as long as you are able to last on the map.
11. If you are entering Dream World, then you are considered "asleep." In order to enter, you must use a forum post saying, "fall asleep." There are no moves allowed on this entrance post. If you remain active in Dream World, then you do not need to worry about the entrance post until you are forced to re-spawn at the bed (A1).
12. Everyone will start in Bed (square A1). This is also the restart/spawn location in Dream World. If anything bad happens, then you will return here. If you find yourself on a different map and use the yellow square to return to Dream World, then you will be sent here (if you are returning from a different map, then you do not need to post fall asleep to move).
13. Dream World is meant to be highly interactive. You are in a dream, so there is some serious potential with what you can do. I would like there to be a Dungeons and Dragons feel to your adventures. Along with your moves, you are able to post some dialogue, action, or story line that you think might make for a good adventure. I will do my best to respond/act upon what you do (ultimately it will be up to me to play along or ignore what you post). Be creative! I will only interact with dialogue that is relevant to Dream World (or can somehow be) and is relevant to the area you are in on the map.

WARNING: Certain places in Dream World may be more interactive than you are accustomed to in the forums. It is possible to receive bounties from Dream World characters. If you cannot handle some bounties, then please do not play. 

 

 

Dream World Maps

Grey squares: Unexplored/unrevealed territory

White squares: Explored/revealed safe paths

Yellow Squares: Portal/Doorway to Dream World and/or other locations

Black squares: pit (loss of post and removal from Dream World)

Red squares: Dream World places/characters that provide you with random negative events or hot lava pits (work similar to pits but cannot be gone over with the batman suit)

Green squares: special locations with positive events

Blue squares: Dream World characters that provide you with random positive events

Orange squares: Spawning locations (bed) and/or entrances - these are landing pads only... one way tickets

Pink squares: Neutral locations... the outcome is either random or up to you

Purple squares: The Wizard has hidden several (3 or 4 to be exact) highly valuable chests throughout Dream World. Good luck finding them and good luck getting them unlocked. Each one has a different locking mechanism. See the first comment below for the details to each one. Posts that don't have moves, but are for the chest, will not count against your moves/posts for the day. Although it doesn't count as a move post, you must be on the hidden chest in order to open it (your code/task/whatever must be given while on the chest).

Dream World Details

Dream World: Dream World is a place magically woven into the fabric of our restful existence. The Dream Wizard created Dream World within the world's dream. The people of earth are all connected in this world dream and are all capable of finding Dream World. All they have to do is fall asleep.  

Hidden Chest #1: This chest is locked with a 3 digit code. The numbers will remain the same until the chest is unlocked. At that point the code will change. If you land on the chest, then write down three numbers, each one of them being 0 - 9. The order of the numbers matters. If you happen to get the numbers to match the Wizard's, then you will be treated to one of Dream World's most valuable possessions. The chest spawns a new item every day and only contains one, so if some body happens to open it, then it is done for the day. You are only allowed to guess the code once per day. If you guess has a number that is in the right place, then the chest will click and you will have revealed that section. Keep an eye on the code below, so you know if somebody has revealed portions of it already.

Secret Garden: Passing through this lovely garden is sure to brighten your day! A family of talking bunnies run the garden and they love visitors. You will be sent a random assortment of flowers when you enter. You can stay here as long as you'd like, but you will only be sent flowers once per day and you must leave and come back for the flowers to be sent.

POETRY COMPETITION @ THE GARDEN: Come to the garden and compete in the February & March Poetry Contest! The competition will be held until 00:00 4/01 TCT.  Post your poem entry along with your move. The bunnies will choose the top three poems and give prizes accordingly. The bunnies like to laugh, so try to make them funny. Advantages will go to poems that involve flowers, bunnies, and Dream World related things. You are allowed to post two separate poems, but they must be in two separate visits to the secret garden. The nice old man on a bench: If you are kind enough to sit through his stories, then he might be nice enough to treat you to something in his pocket. 

Nightmare Alley: If you some how land here, then you will surely regret it. Dream World has had some pretty nasty characters, and unfortunately, some have made it home. These people like to create problems for you, even when you are awake! 

Freddy Krueger: This is one bad dude. He runs nightmare alley, and as you know, consequences are real. This dude knows how to make you suffer outside of Dream World. STAY AWAY!

Here's Johnny: Beware of room 237. This place can be a little manipulative... You might say that it changes a person... It forces you to do things you usually wouldn't. 

Room 237 murderers:

 

Naked Speech: You wake up butt ass naked. You are in front of the entire school, and you are about to start your honors program speech that you have been practicing weeks for in the mirror. You forgot everything, pissed yourself, starting crying, and fell to the ground. Everyone laughed. Landing here will make you wake up and you will lose all turns for the day.

Zombie Guard Dogs: Landing within a 3 square radius (from all directions) of the Zombie Guard Dogs puts you at risk. If you land within their field of vision, then there is a random chance that they may attack you, which would force you to wake up and restart in bed.

Boobie Traps: There is a small chance of waking up when you run through this space, but landing on it is guaranteed to make you scream yourself awake.

Monkey Bone: If you try to go through G9, then Monkey Bone will pop out of your backpack and spray you with nightmare juice. This causes you to lose 1 move per day for the 5 following days. You will get your 10 daily paces back after you are able to detox the juice out (5 days. your last day on the juice will have 5 available moves). Monkey Bone is a total douche bag. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Teleportnado: If you land here, then you will be wrapped up in a twister the size of Kansas! This thing is no joke. It randomly places you anywhere in Dream World (literally anywhere - includes all locations/maps). This twister has a mind of it's own though. Although it sends you to random locations, the chances of landing in red squares and pits are higher than landing in clear paths or special locations. Do you dare to take the ride of your life?

Cloud 9 Drugstore: Do you love Bob Marley and the Grateful Dead? Do you smell like a bag of weed and dirty laundry? Are your teeth yellow and eyes permanently bloodshot? Well then, Cloud 9 is the place for you! We pride ourselves on the best products free can buy. Like the other special locations, you must land directly on Cloud 9 and you may only interact with them once per day.

 

 

Dream World Zoo: This is not your ordinary zoo. These animals are here by choice, and live like Gods. Have fun exploring the exhibits and finding all the wonderful treasures that hide within this musical utopia! 

*EDIT*: The truth surrounding the zoo has been revealed. This place is a front for the Kingpin Kong's operations.... Not a safe place.

Hidden Chest #2: This is a special chest. This chest is locked with a particular set of tasks. If you land on the chest, then you will be given a list of tasks to complete. If you complete these tasks by the end of the same day, then the chest will provide you with a special item. You must complete the provided tasks on the same day that you landed on the chest, otherwise you will be doing work for nothing. Proof must be given for all tasks (copy and paste urls, links, or messages/comments) on one post. If proof isn't provided and on one post, then you will receive nothing. The tasks will be the same for everyone that lands on it on the same day, but they change every day @ 00:00 TCT. Just like chest #1, a new item spawns every day and only contains one, so if some body happens to open it, then it is done for the day. 

Hidden Chest #2 Completed Tasks:

Kingpin Kong: The leader of the Dream World Zoo. Do as he says, for even the Dream Wizard is fearful of him.... He took a piece of land in someone else's dream... That should say enough. If he makes you an offer, then you really should say yes. If you deny it, then you will never step foot into the Dream World zoo again (rendering your chances to the Hidden Chest #2 impossible).

Three Eyed Dog: He is the all knowing. He can see into the past, the present, and the future. The dog loves to test your knowledge. He also wants to share some knowledge with you. Trivia is his favorite game, therefore, he will ask you a question, and if you answer it correctly, then you will learn something about Dream World.

Plushie Exhibits: With the vastness of Dream World, animals in this zoo are not restricted by boundaries. They are provided with infinite space and the perfect environments! Take a stroll thru the wild and enjoy the natural beauty of these happy plushies! You will be provided with some random plushies when you land on any exhibit. You may only interact with the animals once per day and must leave and come back to be rewarded.

 

Ye Olde Pube Bar: Come through for some drinks and some good times. If you are brave enough, then take your chances in the boxing ring. Beer and fighting = the perfect combo. Lets see what you are made of..

Bar Counter: Dare to test the depths of your cup? This bar tender is no joke. He loves to watch a sloppy fight. Take a seat for some free pre-fight drinks.

Ye Olde Pube Boxing Ring: Do you think you have what it takes to over throw the current champion? Get in the ring and prove it! Lets see what you are made of.

1. In order to become the champion of the ring, you must land on the ring (Y4).
2. You must unequip all your weapons and attack the person who is the current champion with nothing but your fists.
3. If the person who lands on the ring wins the boxing match, then they will become the new champion, receive the belt, and receive their hard earned cash.
4. Clear evidence/attack logs must be shown in order to over throw the current champion.
5. Each person who wins in the ring will earn $1,000,000 more than the last winner. Simbiosys (1st champ) will earn $1,000,000, and the person who dethrones him will be given $2,000,000. And so on and so forth.
6. If you get dethroned, then you can try to get the belt back as many times as you'd like. The challenge is always open. If you are the champion, then you may be in danger of being attacked at any time. You will be on the hot seat.
7. If the defending champ is attacked by someone in Dream World with nothing but fists, then they are probably in a boxing match. If the champ wins a match against a contender, they can post the attack log and force the person to wake up and restart @ A1.
8. Only the attacker has to use their fists. The current champion is allowed to hold their weapons as they typically would.
9. The current champion does not need to remain in the boxing ring. You can move freely around Dream World. If you win, you will remain in the hot seat until you have been dethroned.

Dream Wizard's Castle: The mecca of magic and awesomeness.... If you can stand a little heat.

Wizard of Dream World: The Wizard of Dream World has grown tired of your trespassing ways! He is coming for anyone near his castle. Tread lightly amigos.

Beetlejuice: Try not to let him loose! Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice.

1. When someone walks through Q2 they release Beetlejuice. If they land on him, then they release him and are scared into to waking up from Dream World. 
2. When Beetlejuice is summoned, he will cause mayhem on the map at any given time in any location. He is a total hell storm. 
3. To send him back to his model town prison on Q2, the people of Dream World must coordinate a three post string to send him back. You must say his name three times. Three consecutive posts must say the word, "Beetlejuice." Saying the word counts as a post for the day. So if you decide to post, "Beetlejuice" twice, then you are out of moves for that day. 
4. Beetlejuice is not a move, but it takes a post. So, if you use your 10 moves and have 1 post left, then you may post "Beetlejuice" as your second post. 
5. If the three posts are broken up by anything that does not say Beetlejuice, than you all must start over and those moves were lost for nothing.
6. The Dream Wizard will also try to keep Beetlejuice on the map, so act fast.
7. Beetlejuice will also be summoned if his name is said in three consecutive posts while he is locked up. Be careful not to bring him out on accident!

Age Defying Zoltar: The ever-so-clever Zoltar holds your fate. Dare to test your luck with this sneaky fortune-teller? You will either gain or lose moves in your near future.

Wet Dream: Every kid's best nightmare... Land here and you will wake up (exit Dream World) with 5 less moves to make the next day. Pass through here, and you will just lose 5 moves on your next turn, but will still be asleep (most likely in some dirty sheets).

Merlin: The long lost brother of the Dream Wizard (the nice brother). He may have stolen credit for a small trick with a sword and some rocks, but he is not a bad dude. The fairy tales had it wrong, and the Dream Wizard was not happy about it. The Dream Wizard put him into a magical cage and has left him there to rot for over 10,000 years. His magic does not work against the cage his brother created, but he can still conjure up a few friendly gifts here and there. If you don't mind some heat and some wet pants, then stop on by! He loves visitors, but cannot leave. Can you find a way to help?

Dream within the Dream Wizard's Dream World Dream (Inception): Enter into his dream to find his biggest secrets. Be very careful, because you can lose yourself in there. See the PASIV Device for more details.

 

Hidden Chest items are extremely rare (only 12 in existence) and specific to Dream World. These are only available in chests. Each chest holds 4 specific rare items, and each item is only found in their respective chest. The 4 items in each chest cycle randomly and change daily. After items are used, they have a wait time before they return to the chest cycle (times vary). If all items are in a wait time period, then the chest will remain empty until the items are available.

Hidden Chest Items:

1. The Genie's Lamp. (Held in Hidden Chest #2)

Genie's Lamp Details: This is not your typical genie lamp. You are granted wishes, but they do not come in threes. You are granted a $20,000,000 spending limit in the item market. You will not be sent cash. The Dream World Genie will buy you $20,000,000 worth of items. You get to choose the items. Do your math accurately, for he will not spend a single cent over that amount, and you only get one post to grant your wishes. If your post exceeds $20,000,000 worth of items, then I will leave out the most expensive item on your list and the remaining amount of your allowance will disappear. You are allowed to hold onto this lamp for 2 days, before it vanishes into thin air. Think it over. When you are ready, simply post: "Genie Lamp Wishes: *$20,000,000 worth of items" Rubbing the lamp does not count as a turn, but you only get one post to grant your wish. The lamp has a 5 day wait time once it vanishes.

2. Energy Sword (From Halo)(held in Hidden Chest #2)

Energy Sword Details: Just like in Halo, this little gem has some serious potential to piss off some fart munching dweebs. Use this to put fear into the chumps around you. Holding this sword allows the user to eliminate people from Dream World. If the holder goes by somebody on the map, then that person wakes up and must restart in bed (A1). The holder of this sword also gets three extra moves for each day that they have the sword. The sword is active as soon as it is unlocked and returns to the Hidden Chest # 2 cycle after 3 days. Enjoy the mercilessness! This item has a 5 day wait time was it disappears.

3. Batman Suit (Held in Hidden Chest #2)

Batman Suit Details: The person who is wearing this suit is allowed to move through pits. The suit effects begin as soon as it is unlocked and lasts for 5 days. As soon as your time is over, the suit disappears into wait time and back into the Hidden Chest #2 cycle.  If you are in a pit at the end of the 5 days, then you will fall in and wake up as you normally would. This suit has a 5 day wait time once it disappears.

4. Red Bull Can (Held in Hidden Chest #1)

Red Bull Can Details: The person who drinks this will grow wings and gain the ability to fly! For 3 days, the user will be able to choose their desired locations on the map, however, they will still be restricted to their 10 moves and 2 posts. The can has a 10 day wait time. Choosing a particular location counts as a post. You may choose two particular locations per day or choose one, and use your 10 moves from there with your remaining post. There are options to explore. 

5. Portable Automated Insomniac IntraVenous Device (PASIV Device)(From Inception)(held in Hidden Chest #2)

PASIV Device Details: The device is used to administer Somnacin to dreamers. This machine will put you deeper into a dream state and keep you sedated long enough for you to find what you need. Using this machine inside of Dream World takes the dreamer further into the dream within the Dream Wizard's Dream World dream.

1. You have 2 full days after finding this device before it returns to the Hidden Chest #2 wait time cycle.
2. Once you decide you are in a place where you'd like to use the PASIV Device, then you must post "Inception." This will count as a post for the day (no moves allowed on this post). 
3. Going into the dream within the Dream Wizard's Dream World dream will take you to a new location in Dream World. 
4. The Inception map is constantly changing and is constantly shifting. As days go by on this map, tiles will continuously be re-unrevealed until explored again. 
5. A highly valuable item lies within the dream within the Dream Wizard's dream. Don't waste too much time doing anything but searching for this.
6. This place is highly dangerous, but does not have any pits. The danger lies within your ability to lose touch with reality. The "Return to Dream World exit portal" has a 5 day timer. After 5 days of entering, the portal will disappear and anyone who is still in the dream within the Dream Wizard's dream will be stuck there until somebody else enters the map and opens the exit portal. You can be stuck there for considerable amounts of time. No pits = no waking up. You enter a comatose state until somebody can help you snap out of it.
7. You only get to use the PASIV Device once. Choose where to use it wisely. You only have 2 days to use it.
8. After 2 days of unlocking the Device it will disappear. This device has a 10 day waiting period, so it will be available in the Hidden Chest #2 cycle 12 days after being unlocked.
9. You have the typical 10 moves/2 posts per day while in the dream within the Dream Wizard's Dream World dream.
10. The map will not show until you enter/post "Inception"

6. Mary Poppin's Magic Bag (held in Hidden Chest #1)

Mary Poppin's Magic Bag Details: This bag is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! It can hold anything! There is no limit to the space within this bag. Take it around Dream World to fill up on goodies! Stopping by special locations and characters in Dream World will reward you with better gifts in larger quantities. The bag will be active as soon as it is unlocked and will be available for 5 days. After it is used, it will have a 5 day wait time before it returns to the Hidden Chest #1 cycle.

Dream World Cloud of Fame

Completing certain tasks within Dream World deserves some credit. People who complete the following tasks will be guaranteed a cash prize and a spot on the Cloud of Fame. These tasks are not easy and will take extraordinary amounts of patience and Dream World knowledge to complete. Complete any one of these tasks to be inducted into the Dream World Cloud of Fame. Some of them may only be doable once, so the race is on.

1. Crack open the Hidden Chest #3 (repeatable task)

• The first person to open it will be:
  • Inducted into the COF
  • Unlock the rare item within the chest (if an item is available)
  • Labeled the "Pioneer of Dreams"
  • Given a $150,000,000 cash prize
• Dreamers to open the subsequently open the chest will be:
  • Inducted to the COF
  • Unlock the rare item within the chest (if an item is available)
  • Given $10,000,000 cash prize
    • You only receive a cash prize the first time you open the chest (the first person to open it will only receive their $150,000,000 cash prize once as well).

2. Free Merlin from his magical cage (doable once)

• The person who breaks Merlin from his cage will be:
  • Inducted to the COF
  • Labeled "King Arthur"
  • Given a $100,000,000 cash prize

3. Vanquish Kingpin Kong from the Dream World Zoo (doable once)

• The person (or people) who defeat(s) Kingpin Kong will be:

Possible answers to plausible questions:

• It does not matter what direction you choose to move first, but your decision may be the deciding factor of falling into a pit or not.
• Players are able to stack onto squares. You are allowed to make the same moves as each other if you'd like.
• If you are not on the active dreamers list, than you probably fell into the pit, check the map to see your previous route patterns.
• If I am not online at the time, I will try my best to update it as soon as I am back on. Sorry ahead of time if there are any time zone related delays.
• In order to earn rewards/actions from special locations, then your post must end on that square. Think ahead, and break your moves up if you plan to go to multiple places in one turn. You have two forum posts per day to help get you where you need to go.

Tips:

• The deeper into Dream World you go, the deeper it gets.
• With the map unrevealed, using all 10 moves in 1 post may be dangerous. If you are active, try breaking your moves up.
• Reading events/current happenings in the posts below may provide some key clues to some Dream World easter eggs. This shit gets deep yall.
