"Scammed"

There seems to have been a lot of posts recently about how players have been scammed and woe is me type of comments. Well I can’t help but think we have a purpose built trade section for this so that both players can add their items/money whatever to the trade before finalising it so they can see it...

if you take someone at their word of send me X and I’ll send you X/$ then you run the risk and it’s oretty much on you?

If a random stranger scams you then it's on you cause you should be smarter than that but when a trusted friend stabs you in the back and runs off with your earnings, the scammer is at fault.

It depends on the scam, but at the end of the day it's a (usually relatively expensive) lesson learned. Bringing it to the forums rarely helps matters though. 

Especially where people say they’ve had bounties or such listed against them due to some part of the “scam” just adds fuel to the fire

All I will say is you can be just as easily scammed through trade as you could not through trade 

1) the person removes money at last moment and you don't realise

2) yiu are buying and player closes trade and mugs you
