I suggest banking it. Spend the money needed then bank the rest. The bank does really do a good work as a 1 week or longer money safe
I like it better when somebody mugs me for $10 or something. Then they know, they're not mugging somebody who is mug protected or who just got mugged earlier, instead they just wasted their energy mugging a lemon.
