MLB starts in March. It would be very helpful to have the following bet types for MLB. Each bet type is extremely popular among bettors, so I'm sure betfair has each bet type in their API.
- Run Line
- 1st 5 innings
- Total Runs
- Money Line
Run Line Betting in baseball almost mimics NHL Handicap Betting exactly. The line for baseball run lines is 1.5. With a 1.5 run line you will be able to place a wager on the favored team to win by 2 runs or more, or the underdog team to lose by 1 run or to win the game.
In 1st 5 innings you’re basically just making a bet on what the result will be at the end of five innings as opposed to the full game outcome. Just like regular full game betting, there’s a money line and total option, along with a run line which is .5 runs instead of the regular full game 1.5 runs.
Total Runs betting is just like Basketball Over/Under bets.
Money Line betting is just straight up bets.
Can you please advise if you will be adding these bet types to MLB?
