What is this thread?

I am a little bit confused about what the trading post thread is. So yeah... can some help explain it for me?

It's for trading in game items and services.

Okay, you know how you can buy and sell things in the item market? Well, you can buy and sell things from other players, known as traders.

When you sell something in the item market, your buyer knows you have his money on you once he pays. Some people will mug you right after they buy from you, which is called buy-mugging. To protect yourself from being mugged by a buyer, you can sell to a trader with a reputation for not mugging his customers.

Another reason you might want to sell to a trader is because you'll know exactly when the trade goes through. You won't have to wait until someone decides to buy your item. You can often negotiate price, as well.

Traders also buy flowers and plushies in sets. You can make more selling a flower set or a plushie set than you will by selling each of the items individually.

So... in the Trading Post forum, traders can advertise what they're interested in buying (often with their price lists), and their customers can post reviews of their service. When you see a trader with many thumbs-ups on his thread and many good reviews, you know they're trustworthy and good to deal with. People can also post requests for revives or that they're available to do revives. You can post any other services you need or are offering as well, such as spying.
