Main Issue: Have you ever guested at a faction and tried to get back to your home faction just to find everyone with the application permission either offline or flying? Then you're stuck out in the cold and alone without any faction perks or friends for an indefinite amount of time. Or maybe you noticed someone starting an assault on your friend, and you want to get over there as quickly as possible to help them out?

Main Suggested Solution: Faction Keys. This can be done either as a list of members in the faction control tab or as an non-tradeable items. I am partial to the idea of the non-tradeable items, so I will write as if they are. The keys will allow you to enter a faction without having to submit an application, and wait for someone to accept it. When giving a key, the Leader or Co-Leader can manually select what permissions will be set when the receiving player enters the faction with a key. Keys are able to be given to any player (not just faction members). It will default to the receiving player's current permissions, and manually edited before confirming to send. If the receiving player is not a faction member, it will default to no permissions. The Leader and Co-leader will be able to give keys and revoke them freely. When the "kick" feature is used to remove a player from a faction, their key is automatically revoked.

Issue: When selling a faction, what happens to the keys?
Resolution: When a faction is transferred through the trade system, all keys will automatically be revoked, however, all keys will remained intact if simply a "Change Leader" is done via control tab. As well as being able to revoke individual keys, the leader and co-leader will also be able to "change the locks," in which all issued keys are repossessed.

Amendment (presented by RandomCC): Leaders and Co-Leaders being able to give keys to people who are not in the faction.

Amendment (presented by SpiceKitty): When the "kick" feature is used to remove a player from a faction, their key is automatically revoked.

Main Suggested Solution edited to accommodate these.

When you are a member of a multi-family of factions, and move between all three of them, this would really help. Right now I'm sitting outside of academy, trying to figure out how to waste sixteen minutes of travel time without a faction chat to shoot the shit in.

Would be great if it was a simple as clicking a one time use link. something like a discord invite link, only not reusable.

This idea has merit, it would be one that would benefit factions when guest chaining, the only caveat to this would be that when a player is kicked from a faction for some reason, the key should auto revoke to keep them from rejoining.  Outside of that, this is a wonderful suggestion!

I'm just a noob, but "guesting" actually sounds like something that shouldn't be encouraged. if you have to constantly leave and join factions in order to min max chaining or other aspects of the game id think torn should change so that that behavior is either not neccesary or not profitable.
