We already have a plan to add it to the items page. From a panel, you'll be able to quickly switch out weapons / armour as well as change ammo types. This 'loadout' system will replace the "Equipped weapons" and "Equipped armor" panels.

This is my favorite answer of all! "We're already working on something even BETTER." It's nice to find out that the game devs are in sync with things that frustrate the players, or that players are interested in seeing. VERY glad to hear that the equipment page is getting an overhaul!
