It's a purely destructive form of war. If you raid another faction, it's with the sole intent to cost them respect. Every time you hit a member of a raided faction, they will lose 100% respect compared to the typical 25% - but your faction won't gain any.
If you raid someone, after 24hrs the winning side (most respect taken from the other) can cease the raid, and the losing side can surrender although the surrender is just a verbal declaration, it doesn't mean the winners actually have to accept.

So could you raid a faction to zero respect?
Yup. Would take a lot of effort for any even mediocre faction though.

If you win a raid, do you get to occupy the territory the other faction was holding?
No, that will be assaulting territory. Raiding is a whole different thing. And once you start a raid, the faction with the most points I believe can initiate peace, but usually will come with a ransom.
As others have said, it's purely war where you spend resources and hurt the other. You spend 25e and the Fac getting raised loses 100% of the respect you normally gain, and you get 0 - it's calculated as a warm bonus, so usually each faction is taking between 5-7 res/hit (batting chain bonus) from the other side, but the lack of rewards means that you only use this if you really hate the other side lmao
We're playing with inactive factions to test the waters on raiding :) is kinda fun to throw energy at sporadically but idk if I'd want to fight an actual faction :P seems like a "who has the bigger dick" fight tbh

Do the losing faction loses all the armoury items and funds? or they go to the faction leader?
If your faction is somehow raided to 0 respect the faction disbands and everything in armory goes to the leader.
and the co-leader gets nothing?
